Miller's Big Ten Record 26-32 Underwood Big Ten Record 24-34

I'll lay down pretty sweet beach house on BU being over .500 by the end of this year.

Also, I hope the days of questioning the coach are over. Grandison's coming out last night is a direct result of...Brad Underwood.

From StL Dispatch:
“We came back from Rutgers and coach was pretty much just preaching to us about the effort plays and how the game rewards effort,” Grandison said. “He kind of called me out. He said, ‘If you want to play, do these things.’ He showed film of guys diving on the ball and what not. I just kind of buckled down and ate what he told me. I tried to come out, give everything I got and I did — I’m tired now.”

Pretty simple game plan. Slow down Trayce and you win the game. Unfortunately that is easier said than done. I don't think it's a great matchup for Kofi defensively because Trayce is quick and crafty at getting his shots off. He's not a guy you can just muscle up because he'll go right around you.
He can't score all the buckets. Limit the help he gets. More importantly, don't rack up fouls. If Illinois can take it to them underneath early and draw fouls, the game is over. Seems like this year, the only thing that really matters is fouls.

Another big game

Yep. IU is unranked (30th if you drop into 'others receiving votes), and Kenpom has them at 22. They're coming off a loss and will undoubtedly be thirsty.

On the one hand, I think we're progressing, but OTOH, I don't think we've been as good coming off wins, and don't match up as well against IU.

Different expectations. Underwood took over a program that went nowhere under Groce. Miller took over a program that was very successful under Crean (at least for a 3 year period).

I looked at Indiana’s board and I’d say 80% want Miller gone. They still think of themselves as a blue blood and want Billy D or Stevens.

Yes, we've moved up to the likes of Ohio now.
Really? Does anyone here really want to go back to where we were in 2012 at the outset of Groce (who inherited a fairly decent set of players)? And Gardner-Webb at the time was near the bottom of D-1 teams (they finished that season at #270)

Illini by 14 is my guess. I live 30 miles from Bloomington, and IU likes to play pretty (run & gun shooting 3's). I do like to watch them play and I've switched to hating Iowa now, so I like to see IU do well except versus U of I. If we can get the ball low to Kofi, IU will fold early. If we are lazy on D, it will be closer than we want it to be. They also have no answer for Curbelo breaking down the defense.

Well, to do that, would have to go 14-3 the rest of the way. I'll take that.

ps-assumes that record includes our 2-1 start.

Are parents of players allowed to attend Illinois games?

If you had to trade one player on Indiana for a player of the same position from Illinois, who would starter be?

I was at the game when we beat #1 Michigan State with Magic at the buzzer in Champaign. The place went crazy. I think it was Eddie Johnson from the corner, but it was a long time ago and I might be wrong.. It was a blizzard that night, but nobody cared. Does anyone have a video of that.

I was responding to his B1G record in the other post....24-34. So he only needs 11 wins the rest of the way.

I believe Illwinsagain has it correct. We have 17 more BIG10 games this season (20 overall, we are already 2-1). If we win 11 more, we go 11-6, which brings the record to 35-40. If we go 14-3 in the remaining BIG10 games, the overall BIG10 record becomes 38-37. I'd love to see Brad make it over 500 this year. I think it is more likely to happen next year.

How does one quote the full previous note in this new UI?

Over on the Indiana board, they're in the abyss. Their veteran guards aren't getting it done and the young talent is still too green to be reliable.

Our guards will disrupt their offense and Kofi and Giorgi will run wild.

Lmao...you both are correct. I was conviently leaving out the losses! What a maroon! I'll ease up on the egg nog! Sheesh!

Jackson-Davis is a really good player and will have a say in that. Ideal would be to get him in foul trouble as he is the only one to fear IMO.
