I don’t think Miller played poorly. Hit a couple 3s and played pretty good D. Not a monster game by any stretch but overall solid.
If Trent had hit at his recent pace...it would have been a laugher. They had their mini runs in 2d half and we held composure. Great win!

The confidence and poise Ayo is playing with right now is next level. He knows he can do whatever he wants out there and is playing like it. Loved the steals especially. Doing exactly what he needs to do: setting the tone for the rest of the team. I would not want to have to play these guys come March.

Guess when BU said "We will fix it!" He wasn't kidding.
No doubt. It's easy to bash him but we have to keep in mind that he's a freshman. He looked every bit of it today. He'll bounce back.
This was not a great Illini game...nor is anyone with 18 turnovers. But it was a horrific shooting performance by Wisky who shot air ball after airball (yes most drew iron but most did not even hit inside the cylinder). But they kept shooting and when you are hitting 17% of them, you WILL GET YOUR TAIL WHIPPED. If Illini take care of the ball better, they win by 25+ easily.
Yet there were several good areas of performance and I would rate the overall performance as a bit above normal.
Underwood was an absolute homerun hire for JW.
