Agree we'll need some meat under the basket.

How about Kofi coming back and perfecting that 7-12 footer facing the basket. Just an automatic release similar to Trent from 3 this year. 60% from the field with that new jump shot in his arsenal. It happened for Garza in his Junior year.

Gotta love the potential for nicknames with "Ramses." Of course, The Pharaoh is an obvious one, but I'm sure better ones would ensue.

Nicknames are kinda weird for college players. Nicknames in sports are generally reserved for legends and super quirky players. Been off that train for a while and I detonated that train when Adam Miller was trying to make AceWolf a thing.

He’s playing a role right now. (A pretty big one for a freshman on a top 10 team.)
He will be Ace when it’s his turn.

Interesting -- Loren Tate mentioned on Saturday Sports Talk that Kofi may indeed return in 2021-22. Mostly based upon not being listed on most draft boards. I guess it might boil down to choosing the $$$$ offered in Europe vs. refining his offensive game under Coach O.

Hope he returns and it pays dividends for him (similar to Ayo this year). Would give Brad another year to get the recruiting ball rolling! I think we'd be pre-season Top 15 nationally, and Top 4 Big Ten with these guys in our 2-deep:

He would definitely be the centerpiece of the team next season, not having to share the spotlight with Ayo. Will be interesting to see what he decides is best for him and his family.

Ayo would be a great example to sell Kofi.
From likely 2nd round pick to hopefully 1st rd pick. Stayed in school 3 yrs.

I see CH, Giorgi and Grandison as 4 and Hutch as 3, if he comes back (God willing).

The staff feels very good about where they are with Melendez. O.A. is on his trail, we will know soon enough...
Also I have been told that we have spoken with Burnett several times in the last week or so, he is making it clear wherever he goes he wants immediate playing time.. We shall see, it is tine to buckle down and finish this cycle out strong.
