2/14 Games

Only watched the second half, but Michigan looked pretty dang good to me. I didn’t go back to look, but I’m guessing that most people were feeling pretty good about the Illini after they were up 36-23 over Wisky at half. After knocking the rust off, UM out scored Wisky 40-20 in second half. And they did it on the road, while the Illini were at home. Michigan game gonna be tough.
Michigan got lucky with Wisconsin trying to sit on lead and Wiscy uncharacteristically sloppy.

Penn State in a bit of a tailspin I didn’t expect after they beat Wisky. But then Wisky is in a tailspin of their own.

I wonder if this streak of games is the cure for what ails Nebraska?

Wisky had all of a 3 point lead with 14:13 left in game. They certainly weren’t trying to sit on that huge lead after that and Michigan out scored them 25-14 rest of the way. Wisky had 10 TOs against UM and 11 against the Illini. Granted 6 of Wisky’s TOs were in second half, but blaming all that on Wisky’s sloppy play and not giving credit to UM’s D is very short sighted and not what I saw. Michigan was up in WI’s grill all of the second half.

I like our chances when we finally play them, but see no reason not to admit they’re a good team. Ayo and Kofi > Livers and Dickinson, but Wagner is gonna be a tough matchup and Illini have struggled against in your face D.

Nebby beats Penn St. Happy for them and happy that we didn't end up being their first win in Big Ten play (though we narrowly escaped lol)
my head was saying we should cheer for PSU (maybe our road win at PSU could creep back to a Quad 1 win??) to win but my heart was pulling for Nebraska. That losing streak must be tough to endure. Also validates that Nebby played well against us.

I think their transfer Walker is making a difference for them inside, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Drake scores fewer points in an overtime game than they did in yesterday's game against the same team that they lost by almost 30--and win.

Mich is a good team. Wisky scored 20 points in 2d half...they were very tentative and playing "not to lose" rather than to win. Michigan's intensity contributed, but Wisky didn't adapt or execute.

Michigan penetrates and comes at you nearly ever possession. They are a strong physical team. We will have to play exceptional team defense in order to stop them.

Potter and Reuvers with ZERO rebounds and Dickinson, the Freshman, with 15. Including 4 OR's going down the stretch.
