Funny...I was getting some heat on this thread earlier for saying I wouldn't touch Burnett with a ten-foot pole because of the manner in which he left Texas Tech.

Podz is a wild card (in terms of "projectibility"). I'm assuming we still want him and our program appeals to him. But with Goode and hopefully Melendez in the fold, you have to wonder how hard we'll push. And how Podz perceives it? Completely understand that these kids have different games, but 3 wings in one class is pushing it.
I think after 8:45 EST tonight the Podz train will have left the station, unless we end up with a 6 man class and I don't think the odds are great for that.
I don't think BU would allow any incoming player to determine his own status on the team before earning it in practice.

I don't understand the "demands" Burnett made. Is this all speculation or are some of you in Burnett's camp?
From my point of view, aton of guys were brought in that play the same position - the others being more proven. He doesn't feel the team/system is right for him to showcase his full range so he leaves.
Why does this situation not make you want to touch him with a ten foot pole? You don't want a highly-touted prospect that has a chip on his shoulders?
Brian Randle got that high and he was defined as a freak athlete. About the same height also, right?

Why 6 man class? Couldn’t we take three wings including Podz, a guard, and a big for a five man class?

If someone sold you on a bill of goods and then radically changed the landscape, I'd expect one would be extra careful the second go round, including some assurances. Now, what those are, and if they go beyond being recruited over, it's all speculation. Highly doubt the Underwood will accept gifting PT.
It's real simple he wants to play, Underwood says we're losing Ayo you've got a path to playing time.
Underwood also now knows, if he doesn't play, he will transfer. So the knowledge is on the table for both parties. I want to play, ok the path is there, earn it and it's yours.
To me if everyone but Ayo stays, Curbelo, Burnett, and Frazier are your starting guards.
