I haven't thought about this until now. How many times has Kofi been in real foul trouble this year? Seems like almost none. He has done an amazing job of protecting the rim without fouling this year.
I cant bet against the beloved, but that line is maybe 2 points too high
Kenpom says Ayo, Damonte, and Grandison have only played together about 3% per game for the past 5 games. And I'm pretty sure it was less than that previously.
That's our 3 biggest guards and I want to see that lineup more often down the stretch. Ohio St, Michigan, Iowa, Gonzaga, and Baylor all have more size than us at the 1-4.

Heheheh you missed those games, eh? I remember two or three games where it looks like the ref's have it out for him. I think Kofi's really put a ton of work in on conditioning and coach has a better idea of which personnel groups to throw in to keep him fresh. When Kofi gets tired kofi starts fouling. Hats off to the big guy for all the work he's put in (and hats off to the coaching staff). Kofi has really improved defensively this year. I think the ref's have evolved a bit this season as well. There have been strange games (Indiana - that was one for the books) but it seems the refs have been letting them play more if the players don't get chippy. NOTE TO THE KIDS: do not get chippy - the game plays faster and that benefits us... get chippy and the refs go on lockdown mode. I think half of Kofi's fouls now are Kofi accidentally sending some poor dude flying when he bumps into them. Now that I think about it, there seems to be a lot less flopping than early on in the season as well; at least it's not as obvious - maybe they got BETTER at flopping as the season progressed? =)

Especially when it’s not true. Yes, he has struggled with effort and consistency (especially defensively), but he is far from the first to have that issue. The true “headcase” is Mom-wouldn’t surprise me at all if she forces him to transfer again before it’s all said and done. But I digress.
Yea I would probably start dmw over Miller but maybe Miller has an attitude. Not that Miller does bad he does fine but that lineup could be great and like to see it more

BU: We have guys with experience.
Me: He's probably talking about Ayo, Trent, Da'Monte, Giorgi, Jacob, etc. We really do have a lot of great experience on this team.
BU: And we have guys who are fearless.
Me: Talking about Curbelo. Definitely Curbelo. Wager all the beach houses.
I love that they only spent 30 seconds on the Gophers blowout. No time for a watch party, on to the next road kill.

Ayo is fearless, Kofi is fearless (inside 8 feet from the rim), DMW and Trent are 100% fearless on D.

Yeah, but there are other ways to describe their contributions to the team. My take is that BU has settled on "fearless" as the nicest way to describe Curbelo's playstyle. Not erratic, not out-of-control, not infuriating. Fearless.
In a Southern drawl: "Curbelo, God bless him, is fearless."

The way Trent and Adam are playing defense I think the minutes are being distributed correctly
If Izzo was that kind of guy he would not have had the successful he has had. I do not recall anything in his biography that suggest he does not deal with players in an upfront and respectful fashion.
TF speed and quickness put a lot of pressure on the person he guards. He get occasionally by height, but not very often.
