What does the “Big Ten Handbook” say?Michigan would have us on win %. .823 to .800.
Michigan would have us on win %. .823 to .800.
If this scenario happens where we go 16-4 and mich goes 14-3 and we beat them they need to give us a share. We would have 2 more wins and head to head and they would have better win percentage. We should not be put at a disadvantage because mich chose not to play all the games like we did. We can't assume mich would win the last three just because their win percentage says they would. Make them play the last three to win it outright or give us a share. Seems like a good compromise in a pandemic.Michigan would have us on win %. .823 to .800.
FIFYDo you know how many years it has been since our last final four appearance? Yes 16 years.....just like the time between the last two final four appearances. Seems like we should keep the pattern going....then break it next year.
Joe Lunardi (Always seems down on Illini, but...) This is an excerpt on his contribution to an article about POY candidates:Is he much better than Giorgi? Would Giorgi put up those type of numbers in that conference that Krutwig does? Unless he has an outside jumper, seems like a wash. JMO.
Pretty much just depends on how Kofi And Giorgi shoot. Rest of the team not great but not horrible either. Michigan can’t spare a lot of fouls at the 5.I was curious to see how we shot our free throws against quality opponents. I feel like we always manage to hit them for the big games.
Season average = 69%
According to Google, 70% is a good free throw %
Our free throw % for the following games:
Iowa - 82%
Duke - 75%
Baylor - 62%
Ohio State - 70%
Wisconsin Round 1- 63%
Wisconsin - 53%
So 3/6 times, we were above our average. Worth mentioning I could attribute the reduced production in the Wisconsin game to us not taking them as seriously the 2nd time around. Duke, Iowa, and Baylor are games we were very excited about so I'd especially focus on those.

Really?Joe Lunardi (Always seems down on Illini, but...) This is an excerpt on his contribution to an article about POY candidates:
"Honorable mention to Cameron Krutwig of Loyola Chicago. The best mid-major player in the country went to the Final Four as a freshman and is headed back to the NCAA tournament as a senior. Kofi Cockburn is rightfully praised, but he's not even the best center in his own state."
It's laughable. Would love to see Kofi in the MVC..would be a jokeReally?
Worked out really well for PO'B when Bradley made that Sweet 16 run. It's laughable. Would love to see Kofi in the MVC..would be a joke
Oops! You are correct. I pulled from a different game. So 4/6 of those games, we were above our average. Bodes pretty well.We shot 70% in Madison on Sunday including hitting our last 10.
Lunardi is a complete doofus. Krutwig is a helluva player but that is a patently absurd takeJoe Lunardi (Always seems down on Illini, but...) This is an excerpt on his contribution to an article about POY candidates:

TBF Krutwig has better advanced defensive metrics, half as many fouls committed, and 3 assists to Kofi's 0.1. (I think Kofi is better, just pointing it out)Kofi is averaging 17.7 ppg, 9.9 rbg, 1.3 bpg, 66.8% from the field
Krutwig is getting 15.0 ppg, 6.5 rbg. 1.1 bpg, 58.6% from the field
Kofi is better in every metric and plays against MUCH better competition. If Krutwig was on our team, he'd be a backup. Lunardi's comment is laughable.
Hey... I didn't write it. I certainly don't believe it. Just sharing. I figured it would get a reaction. lolReally?
I don't like Lunardi so I am biased when I say this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard a supposed college bball expert say.Joe Lunardi (Always seems down on Illini, but...) This is an excerpt on his contribution to an article about POY candidates:

Each Center's supporting cast could have something to do with how well these gentlemen's stats look.Lunardi is a complete doofus. Krutwig is a helluva player but that is a patently absurd take

Agreed - I love the game footage I've seen of Krutwig, but c'mon. That's just a click-bait comment.Hot takes for $1,000,000, Alex.
FWIW, I think Krutwig is an outstanding player.
