His team appears to be 26-1 playing one of the toughest schedules in high school basketball.

He's getting 20.9 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 5.8 apg to 1.0 topg, and 2.5 spg while shooting 45.7% from the field, 83.6% FTs, and 37.9% from 3.

Against that level of competition, those numbers are very impressive.
I watched a couple of interviews with TyTy. He seems like a really good kid, very personable and modest. Would be a GREAT fit on next year's team.

Because you always want the best player available. And Hardy is really, really good
But what about the long term? We're gonna sit Miller and Cuerbelo for Burnett and Hardy? What does that do to recruiting when kids in Illinois see Miller get recruited over and be a backup as a sophomore? Not sure its worth it for a one and done. I'm not in the hard pass category but sincerely asking how to weight the short term benefit with the long term. I'd hate to see ACE transfer out.

Miller won't be a back up no matter who we bring in next year.

We rotate 5 guards through our lineup with heavy minutes right now: Dosunmu, Williams, Frazier, Miller, and Curbelo. Three of them are leaving. I'm pretty sure we have room for 2 new ones next year.

Good grief.

Yeah, but DMW rarely really plays guard does he? He plays the 3 and 4. Are any of the “guards” for next year capable of filling that role? If not, then most of DMW’s minutes will go to forwards — though I’m sure if all the players discussed actually come that BU will dabble with a small lineup sometimes. I’m not saying this to say we shouldn’t take Hardy and Burnett if they want to come. BU and his staff will figure out how to make it all work.

I didn't know we were all assuming Trent and DMV are not coming back in this scenario. If they are leaving then of course its a no brainer.

Do we know that for sure though? I could easily see DMFW and Trent back next season.

TF and DMW have both had good careers, I am guessing they both may on and get on with their lives. Any speculation on their potential careers or interest in a Masters degree?

Im not saying he’s not a good kid, but there are some question marks. He did start that handshake line fight last year.

Can we get a thread started about our assistant coaches? (OA, Chin, Gentry). Recruiting over the past 2 years would have been a pipe dream 4 years ago. Hearing rumors about programs looking to poach. A Kentucky board even brought up a few boosters interested in Antigua.

Miller is starting on the #4 ranked team in the country as a true freshman. He's not gonna be coming off the bench next year, no matter who we land lol.

Exactly. I bet Miller is our best perimeter defender next year. And his offensive game is still developing. He has shown flashes of what he can do with Ayo out. Give him another offseason and preseason of practice and a huge sophomore leap is very possible for him.

Hopefully OA has some loyalty to BU for essentially resurrecting his coaching career after a disastrous stint at USF.

No issue with him leaving for a HC gig, but I'd hope he wouldn't leave for another assistant spot, even at a UK/Duke/KU type.

Podziemski is averaging 35.0, 10.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 4.1 steals and hitting 43.3 percent from 3-point range. He’s three wins away from a Wisconsin state championship a
Narrowed his list of college choices to Kentucky, Illinois, Miami, Vanderbilt and Wake Fores

Any though on how Podziemski is leaning? Kentucky has commit from MDAA guard Nolan Hickman
I have seen Kentucky( they say he is a Tyler Herro clone & they get players to the NBA) Miami ( he might have family down there & the weather) and Illinois ( closest to home and he gets to play Wisconsin every year (they slow played him). Kentucky normally has a mass exodus every year. With them struggling this year, next year is going to be different. I haven't watched many UK games, but Brandon Boston was thought to be one and done before the year started. He hasn't put on much weight or gotten stronger. Combine that with a rough year and he might be back. Off the top of my head they have Hickman and a Forward from Fenwick that I refuse to mention by name.

He's leaning towards Illinois.
