I agree Ayo is gone and should go, as he has maximized his worth this year. Kofi could stay another year, as he has some upside left (maybe develop a 12-15 foot jumper and some ball handling). The thing that makes me happy for both is that they both got to play this year with real National Championship hopes. The team seems to be a family, and that is something they both will be able to look back on with a smile.
Who else thinks it would be awesome if Shaq reached out and wanted to teach him somethings this off season. And he came back.

Being on the receiving end of more and more spoon fed dunks from Curbelo may sway Kofi's opinion

I know he won’t get drafted, but anyone else think Trent has an outside shot of making the league eventually as an UFA ala Nunn, VanVleet and others?

I thought Allen would shoot right over the top of Trent but Trent didn’t leave his grill all game and he only got up 6 shots total. Not the first time Trent has locked someone down and Allen is probably not NBA material, but a gnat on defense who can lock down 6’5 bucket getters and can be a knock down shooter would seem to be able to find a job in the modern NBA. Will be interesting to see what happens. I know I will be rooting for him!

If Trent was a couple inches taller then probably yes. I think he's just a bit too short at his position and he doesn't make up for it with elite athleticism

Nope. Love Frazier, but his skill set is not enough to overcome his height. He should be able to make a good living as a pro for years though.

watched the replay this morning and teddy boy is another dirty player in the B1G...gave trent numerous elbows, etc and it did nothing to slow TF down....
also, teddy boy has extremely skinny legs....chicken legs

BTW, there's NOTHING Izzo can do or say to change my mind about him or the Prickan program...he covered up numerous player transgressions against others, ( mateen Cleaves, etc) and the trainer abuse , so he's dead to me...

Agree with both of your points. But, with all due respect, could you not call any player "... boy."

Frazier is a warrior and it's a travesty that he's not a finalist for defensive POY.

this guy at cbs has ayo at #16.

Thanks for sharing. Pretty much acknowledges that most polls have Ayo lower because he is older and they’re all still anchored to his past. It just seems silly to me. You can draft a younger guy on potential or draft a guy who has proven that he can develop and is performing at an extremely elite level for college.

I think the absence of Kofi from the senior night festivities is at least an indication that he is still considering a return, if not already deciding to do so. May be what BU is giddy about but won't talk about in interviews.

Kofi would be a NPOY contender if he comes back.

Sort of surprised about Curbelo. I would think he'll first need to double his shooting range from 10 to 20 ft.

And if he's already at #103, I guess we won't have him for 4 more years.
I saw him crop up in December on The Stepien (good reallllly detailed NBA prospect rundowns). His passing has caught a lot of eyes. People are projecting that shooting is easier to teach but you can't teach his passing and feel. And his FT is already respectable and that is a better predictor of future shooting ability.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents on Kofi’s draft stock and his potential value to an NBA team. By no means am I claiming to be some kind of basketball expert, but I do watch a ton of NBA and follow the league closely through podcasts/articles/Twitter etc.

I’ve seen a lot of people here point to Kofi’s inability to stretch the floor as the reason that he has no chance to be successful in the NBA, and I disagree with that. Bigs like Anthony Davis, Embiid, or Porzingis who can combine size, defense, and post play with three-point shooting are going to keep being drafted in the top 5. This kind of player is rightfully referred to as a unicorn and are immensely valuable to a franchise. But they’re called unicorns for a reason - they’re incredible rare. Every team would love to have a guy like that, but not many of them exist. There is, without a doubt, still a place in the NBA for a center who is 7 feet tall and can rebound, block shots, and score around the basket. Can this type of player be a top-5 pick who makes the all star team and gets a maximum contract? Almost definitely not. But a center who rebounds, defends, and can score down low can still be drafted and then carve out a years-long career in the NBA as a backup big.

For me, Kofi’s lack of three point shooting isn’t even close to my main concern regarding his success in the NBA. If I was an NBA team I’d be more concerned with whether he’s quick enough to stay in front of guards and wings when he inevitably gets switched onto them, or if he’s too slow and gets blown by. My other main concern would be whether his post scoring will translate when he’s being defended by grown men who are much closer to his height and weight. Is his scoring efficiency in college due to his strength/athleticism advantage, or due to post moves and footwork that’ll allow him to maintain this efficiency in the NBA? I don’t know the answers to these questions, but I would be looking at these things much more than his lack of three point shooting when projecting Kofi’s skill set to the NBA.
