Dosunmu heavy minutes, but the rest of the minutes well spread out. Sets up well for tomorrow vs Ohio State playing their fourth in four days.

And 12 effort plays.

Not taking anything away from Ayo and Kofi, but Curbelo might have a bigger long term impact on the New Fighting Illini.

He's a true freshman and found a place a team with upper classmen guards. He really shined when Ayo was out with the broken nose.

I'm probably scarred by the 2005 team, but I'm always checking to see if we have players for the future.

I can't knock Damonte for that. He's playing hard like everyone else, it's not like he's a dirty player. He just needs to not get himself in that situation but I can't knock the game for playing hard and thru the play.
I love Damonte and I'm not saying he's dirty, but it seems to happen to him an awful lot. If it was any other player on the team, I wouldn't comment, but Damonte has been in more than his fair share of situations like that.

Curbelo coming into his own has really given us a boost and made us much more dangerous. If we can get Miller to hit a couple more threes nobody beats us.
Agreed 100%, we are going to start seeing more zones as teams are going to make us beat them from the outside

We're really good.

We're gonna get alotta love to win the whole thing I think. Stay focused. I think at this point, we are playing the best we have played all season, we are either the best or a close second best team in the nation.

Lets go win the whole thing.

The difference for me between today and Feb. 1st is that Ayo and Kofi, though integral to our success, have so much more capable support down the stretch. Miller has come into his own, Grandison is rock solid, and Curbelo has shot up that S curve to the upper portion during the last 2-3 weeks. Add to that the stalwart Trent and DMW (w/o the FFs) and we're a veritable hydra out there. Even BBV played lockdown D today when he was in.

I feel so good about our staying power during March. It's crap shoot getting to April but boy do I feel good about this team and our coaches. Who in America wants to play these guys right now?

I didn't think that was a dirty play from Damonte. A foul, yes. Gave him a forearm on a boxout, not in the face but in the high upper chest, and the Iowa player sold it well as something flagrant.

That being said, I'm not going to lie, when the refs went to go to the cameras my first thought was wondering whether Damonte was involved.

A Curbelo steal, a Frazier block.

Bang bang, that was it.
