I didn't think that was a dirty play from Damonte. A foul, yes. Gave him a forearm on a boxout, not in the face but in the high upper chest, and the Iowa player sold it well as something flagrant.

That being said, I'm not going to lie, when they refs went to go to the cameras my first thought was wondering whether Damonte was involved.
Unfortunately that was likely raised to a Flagrant 1 because of Damonte's history.

Curbelo is a future All American and lottery pick....but make zero mistake about this......we are here now, in this position, for one reason...and one man only.

Kofi dominated Garza. Difference in the game. Made Garza look clumsy and unathletic.
True, he wore him down in the first ten minutes of the game and he looked like the floor was made of wet sand the rest of the game. He had 21 points, but needed 21 shots and 6 free throws to get them. Is it just me or does Garza hold the NCAA record for the number of elbows thrown per shot? Fantastic performance by our team yet again. I am so proud of them!

I’m watching the game with my 93-year old grandma. Unfortunately, her sight is at an all time low - she saw Luka Garza on TV just now and said, “That’s a handsome young man.”

Tell Granny to stay away from those handsome 100 year old men in the rest home.

Do you know how long it has been since we have seen an Illini team improve over the course of a season like this? Also that individuals have improved so much over their stay at Illinois and their talent did not stagnate ? Very Izzo like. Hats off to the coach and assistants.

great game, for the most part kept them at a safe distance. if one of our guards is having a bad game we have others who can step into primary roles. Need Kofi to avoid fouls if we are going to make a deep run in the NCAAT
That 4th foul was a bad call. The ref who called it was behind the play and couldn't see it accurately. It didn't look like Kofi fouled him. And that foul call on Trent was also a bad call.

Agreed 100%, we are going to start seeing more zones as teams are going to make us beat them from the outside
We had a nice counter to the zone today! I think teams might think twice! Running a man to the free throw line and the back door lob hurt Iowa in that zone today! Plus the mid range jumper. Great coaching!

Garza is really good, and should be a great pro. But Kofi is more athletic and has a higher ceiling

Garza doesn't seem like a bad person but I don't know that I honestly see a role for him in today's NBA. As of now, Kofi's potential role could be as a rim protector but Garza's defense really limits his opportunities i think. Who in the NBA right now would you compare to Garza?

Trent had an off game shooting today.. .. Today was really Kofi, Belo and Ayo.

Imagine if we had Miller and Trent shooting better?

Speaking as one father to another: please, no matter the odor in your home, for the love of all that is good, do not wash that onesie until April 6th. Sacrifice chickens at the altar in your backyard if you have to. Whatever you gotta do to keep the good juju goin'.

And not to get greedy, but couldn't your wife have delivered on the eve of the Maryland game?!
