NCAA Tournament

#1
Brackets are out. Time to get this thread started.

Thoughts on top 4 seeds in each region?
Biggest surprise in terms of seeding?
Biggest issue with the bracket as a whole?
Biggest snub among those who didn't get in?
Overall thoughts on Illinois' region?

Of course anything and everything tournament related is worth discussing in here.

I like our chances getting to Final 4. I thought Izzo got screwed so that’s good!

MSU got shafted. Syracuse had no business being where they were. They should have been the one in the play ingame

Loyola Chicago in the second round as a potential matchup for the Illini is interesting. Loyola is kenppk and bart torvik top 10. I think they were under seeded.

Ok St. as a potential sweet sixteen matchup will be tough: Cade Cunningham.

I think we'll have a tougher time in the 2nd and 3rd round than the 4th, if we make it. I worry about us sleeping on Loyola just because they're a mid major that we might not take as seriously as we should. Lately we've done a great job putting teams away but I worry about what happens if we fall back into old habits. OSU will be tough because they have one of the best players in the country, but we'll still be favored. I'm actually not afraid of Houston and I doubt they make the elite 8. I won't even speculate on the final 4 since it's so far ahead. We're obviously a popular champ pick and for good reasons but it's called madness for a reason. I'm ready to strap in and be ready for anything.

I think Ga Tech bears Loyola. Too many good athletes. They forced FSU into 25 turnovers last night

I just subjected myself to "Bracketology" on ESPN. Vitale picked Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio State to all make the Final Four. He picked us to lose the championship to Gonzaga. Bilas and Rece Davis also have us losing the title game to Gonzaga. Ellis and Greenberg both picked us in the Final Four losing to Baylor.

I want to like that except that no one picked the Illini to take the trophy home, so not sure how to react.

Also, DukieV discredited by including MI without Livers, and losing 3 of their last five with him missing only the last game.

We'd beat Loyola by 20, but I think we play Georgia Tech.

People are talking about OSU Cunningham and rightfully so. But we have the best two in the country. What makes me happy is no UKy and UofL in the touney. Ky is going to feel like a ghost state with no NCAA tourney teams. Go Illini. 12-1 over the last 13 games. We played the best compared to other teams in the tourney. Now I know if a team gets hot they can go a long way. But grinding for 40 min with ILLINI will be tough for any team. Please refs call the game fair. I hope we don't see a James Augustine called game on Kofi. What hurt us in the OSU game was the first half fouling. But here is what teams are not ready for in the tourney. BELO. I bet there are a lot of coaches that say, "I should have recruited him harder."

Illinois has the best body of work in the league, if you're asking me.

Battle-tested, ready for war.

I think we are going to be fine. Some folks in the media are saying OK State might have a tough time w/ Liberty.

I've also heard some folks say we are going to see Tennessee in the S16 instead of OK State.
