Would Scott Drew leave Baylor for IU?
I was thinking the same thing but also, why would someone leave a place where they’re having success to be stuck with rebuilding a program with a fan base who has unrealistic expectations while Illinois, Michigan, Michigan state, MaRyLaNd and Ohio state surround you with very powerful and established programs?

Pitino coached at Kentucky, and I think IU plays Kentucky every year. While Pitino's beef is with his former stop, Louisville, I think that would raise the profile of IU. I bet Pitino is their top candidate.
No way. Not with strippergate. Iu has more sense Than that.

LOL at the serious responses to an obvious joke. No way IU goes near Pitino if they have any sense.......oh wait......

I feel like this truly is a make or break hire for the IU legacy.

They have 5 championships but it’s been 35 years since their last one and 20 since their last final four. They’ve ended the season ranked only 5 times since Knight left.

At some point too much time has passed for anyone to remember the good ol days.
This is a perfect opportunity for him to negotiate a much higher comp package from Baylor

yea, 1/2 the time , the coach in question may not even be in pursuit, but his agent gets his name out there anyway just to fake it and get the school he's at to give him a raise

Is there a fanbase in this country that is more in denial and more delusional than the Hoosier faithful. They have only made the Dance (a low bar at that) in 10 of the last 21 years since Knight left and after all that, "this will be a splash" hire. GMAB.

Word is that one donor ponied up the $10 million.

This all from an athletic department that had in October a $12 million shortfall plus 35 unfulfilled positions plus existing staffers taking pay cuts. Yup, we're going to make Brad Steven's the highest paid BIG coach with $4.3 million. And guarantee it for 5 years. LOL, makes sense.
