Let’s log off and try again tomorrow, Loyalty. Good grief I’ve lost brain cells reading the last few pages about a kid who is totally irrelevant to our program now. Back to recruiting maybe?

Thank you. Finally someone speaking up to this constant back and forth that goes nowhere. Like a merry-go-round.
yes it’s true. I finally joined the Illini chat my late father and I used to always follow along with. I don’t say much but sometimes it seems many of you need a break. Tired of ready the same comments over and over and most of it has turned to insults.

Do Hawkins and Grandison play the 3 in that scenario with Curbelo, Burnette, and Hutcherson at the 1/2? I don’t hate the idea of a team like that.
I like the depth. Looks like a 9 deep team that should wear opponents down.

I'm 69 yrs old and I can remember when , in my small world, that was not the case...I had a chance to play for another American Legion baseball team at age 14, but I stuck with my hometown team out of loyalty and pride ....

I guess i have been seeing things through my eyes instead of the eyes of athletes now...

it;s a shame, but I don't agree it's always been that way......

You have a remarkable command of gifs for someone who is 69.

Franklin might be the most important target IMO. I really love his game. Indiana coaches and players called him the hardest worker on the team. I think he improved a ton from his freshman year, he was also held back his FR season by Archie. I really think he has star potential, especially playing with a guy like Curbelo.

With TyTy and Payne's recruitment/transfer, can Underwood please stop the "I want character, not characters" narrative? C'mon now. Kids or not, there are hundreds that have not pulled the shenanigans these 2 have.
What are the shenanigans TyTy has pulled??

Really not sure Adam Miller would of started last year if Illinois didn't see him as a long term player, anyone saying he was anything more than bad offensively last year in b10 play is kidding themselves. That said no1 would of been surprised if he took a big time jump from his freshman to sophomore year.

For the love of God, man, stop talking about Miller on this thread! Please!

It completely overshadows all the breaking Easter Sunday recruiting news! And the guy who comes to my house and makes me read it is really strict!

Werner mentioned that Omar told him this when he interview him post-commitment. So at the very least, that's the messaging the coaching staff was using in selling him on a role here.
Sad news, if true. He’s been a big piece of the new culture BU has built.

Bummer. I’m sure we’ll never know but I wonder what staff told him about being the 5 or backup 5 or staff still genuinely don’t know about Kofi.
Also, just to rile up some of you already high blood pressure types: ADAM MILLER, ADAM MILLER, ACE WOLF, ADAM MILLER, MOM, IRVINS

Is Nimari Burnett still on to announce on April 8th??
Video is supposedly already done.. there was a filming crew following him in Vegas a few weeks ago. Was supposed to be committing on the 8th. Maybe he will reconsider going to Bama now that Miller is gone

Exactly. Thank you for pointing this out. Armaan would be an amazing get, and let's be honest, Ace was a disappointment this year. Disclaimer: he's a freshmen and will improve, but Belo was better this year, at least more fun to watch. Armaan is proven and put up more efficient numbers this year.
Belo is in a position where he could thrive the whole time. I still think we haven't seen near the peak of Miller's explosiveness, although we saw glimpses. If he can hit the weight room in any respectable fashion he will grow into a force.

Just saw a 247 article about Payne that mentioned that Texas and Florida State were also recruiting him heavily. I think it's promising that other successful P5 programs were after him and saw potential in him. Gone are the days where we see our name in on recruits who's only other offers are only from schools well below our status.
