Good for you šŸ‘šŸ» itā€™s obvious the kid doesnā€™t want to be at Illinois. Thereā€™s no ā€œnarrativeā€. Heā€™s in the transfer portal.
Fair enough, but if putting his name in the transfer portal means it's obvious he doesn't want to be here, then pulling his name from the portal and returning would mean it's obvious he does want to be here. Fair's fair. In which case, of course we'd want him to return.

I wonder if anyone in the Miller Camp have taken note of the big love currently being poured out upon Ayo and Trent upon the conclusion of their fine Illini careers. Miller might have joined right in to that one day for himself (and potentially still could) if He/His Camp chose to resume his Orange and Blue wearing.

But sentiment doesnā€™t always go too far these days. Itā€™s a Business and Marketing and Branding approach to life in so many things. And maybe, wanting things to happen faster with less patience than in the past. At this point, thereā€™s no telling which approach is right for him. Weā€™ll all find out eventually.

The best resolution to all this is that Miller finds where he really wants to be and The Beloved go way deep in the Dance next year. In fact, the best resolution to all questions is that The Beloved go way deep in the Dance EVERY year.

Yes you can choose not to return to campus but if you elect to be on campus you must follow testing protocol. One of his friends was expelled from schoool for not following protocols and had to petition for re-admission.
Yes. But a student on campus can elect to not be on campus I believe. That's what is happening here

This part is no longer true. Now, even if you're on campus, you only need to show a negative test to enter campus buildings. If you're just taking all online classes from your apartment, you might never need to get tested.

There's no testing protocol noncompliance issue with Miller hanging out in Miami for a few days. Just like there's no issue with Curbelo going to Puerto Rico, Kofi to Jamaica, or Da'Monte to Peoria. Upon return to campus, they'll need one to get into Ubben, but, until then, they're in compliance.

I wonder what the positivity rate has been the last few weeks since the end of the season across the nation for these basketball players and team personnel that have bottled up over the last year. Just curious.

I donā€™t know that it ever got out who, but we know there were at least several players who tested positive over the summer and probably still have good immunity. With vaccine available to all, I would certainly think the athletic dept would have vaccine lined up for any players wanting it.

It's quiet in here after a supposed meeting between player and coaches this weekend. I'll take that as a good thing with the staff's history of locking down (re)recruitments quietly.

I think it was "this week" sometime.
Ah, hence the silence.

I swear I just saw a suggested Instagram post about Kentucky leading for Miller, and when I tried to click on the comments and the creatorā€™s previous posts, it was deleted.

Iā€™ll choose to take this as encouraging.

Well that's not true.

Offensively, Adam Miller was worth 1.4 points over replacement player at that usage level. Kendrick Nunn was worth 1.3 as a freshman.

And Miller was every bit as good defensively as Nunn was as a freshman.
Fair enough, but you could see that Nunn had NBA talent , which he is now averaging 13.5/game.....We'll see if AM even makes it.....like I said , though, I stand corrected.

Iā€™m going to repost this link from the other day - all Illini freshman guard seasons since 2009 (when they started tracking ā€˜advancedā€™ stats)

Adam Miller is rated as the 2nd best defender, but struggled in the Offense metrics. He had essentially the same Usage rate as Kendrick Nunn but Nunn had much better offensive numbers.

I donā€™t have a dog in the fight, just trying to give some stats context to the discussion.
