Welcome aboard! I see kansas and Kentucky had offers for him so that's usually a good sign. Can anyone tell me why Wisconsin wasn't a bigger player for him?
Part of the story seems to be how Tyler Herro was treated after decommitting from Wisconsin. Apparently Herro and Podz are close.

Now that Giorgi is gone we needed another player who's name will get misspelled as it's Brandin, not Brandon. And Podziemski isn't exactly an easy one either, granted most will shorten it to Podz.

So how do you pronounce Brandin's last name? Podzeemski, Podzemski, Podzhemski?

Thanks.

Also, a special shout out to all the "insiders" out there who correctly pegged this one. (y)

They keep calling Podz a four-star, but he shows as a 3-star in the composite. I think the rankings are a bit wacky right now.

I'd think this class should be in the top 30 for sure.
Composite is not as reliable as it used to be. 247 is definitely more accurate.

It’s especially gratifying when The Beloved grabs top talent from the adjoining States. For way too long, it was these outside States latching on to top Illinois talent. Now when some of the top Illini high school talent choose to go elsewhere, The Beloved can now look to nearby neighbors (hello, Wisconsin, Indiana, St. Louis?) to find some gems. Not to mention the Caribbean, California, Florida, and New York pipelines sending sweet talent to the Prairie State. To the fine Illini recruiters – to quote a retired White Sox announcer – “Don’t stop now, boys!”
