If Storr has a relationship with Coleman, he may opt to follow him. He's had no opportunity to develop any feeling for Illinois yet, and Kentucky basketball is not exactly a downgrade.

If Chin works Storr to get him to Kentucky, it's unethical. But what if Storr just wants to go?

I have similar fears regarding Curbelo and Antigua. From what I understand, Antigua has known him since he was a kid. I fear the transfer portal.
Develope a feeling? I thought he grew up in Kankakee!?

I'm not sure that guarantees strong feelings about the U of I. If he feels more connected to Coleman than he does the university, Kentucky basketball could look pretty attractive.

Brandon Johnson, Minnesota 5th year senior, has put his name in the transfer portal. He's the guy that is from Thornton Fractional and Lansing, Ill. Certainly fits BU's desire to get "old".
I am ALSO from TF SOUTH!!

Yes, I believe he’s originally from Rockford then moved to Kankakee (not sure how old). But plenty of players have been from Illinois, said good things about it, and gone somewhere else. He has mentioned his connection to Chin. Guess need to see which is stronger — that connection or his feelings about Illinois in total.

A.J. went to high school his freshman year in Rockford. So his family hasn't lived in Kankakee all that long, apparently.

Yes they will and Chin will go after him night and day until he gets a flip. I know they say OA and CC are leaving professionally and not trying to flip any recruits, but when Calipari says make it happen, you make it happen.
That’s what has me worried about curbello and Melendez

I would say any recruiting news or talk right now is pretty much irrelevant until new assistant coaches are hired.

Think recruiting is on hold, until the dust settles. Hope we can hold onto Chin, so our some/most? of recruitments don't fall back. Not sure if they'll fall back to square 1, but new relationships are going to have to be established. Fortunately, there's time for the HS kids. Transfers don't need nearly as much time, for the most part. The players and scheme are the draw.
Recruiting is never on hold. Hope Gentry or Underwood is making calls to touch base with our recruits and commits. You can never stop recruiting.
