Well, this took a...boring turn.
Thanks. This is essentially it. Josh knows who to call and how to go about doing it. I don't think he needs any advice from the board on that. Our athletic administration is in great hands. Josh is doing a great job. I trust that if there is a chance of resurrecting a relationship with the likes of a Larry Ellison, then he knows how to do it. It's great to have someone in charge who feels the pain just like we do (I am an alum). That pain will motivate him to take our revenue sports to the upper echelon of the Big Ten and nationally.
Nah, not good enough. We need a former player on staff that was on a Final Four team. /sNow that a former player is on staff, the Chicago connection is the only thing for folks to linger on anymore.
Can there be a new thread started for alumni/donor relationship speculation? Thanks. This is essentially it. Josh knows who to call and how to go about doing it. I don't think he needs any advice from the board on that.
If you come to find out that a previously unknown godchild to Melinda Gates is now attending the University, pass that on. But I think every one at the Foundation and the DIA is plenty aware of the Fortune 500 connections to the University.
That thread will automatically start once someone wonders about trying to get funding from Hugh Hefner's estateCan there be a new thread started for alumni/donor relationship speculation?

Bedazzled suits?Does Bergeron bring anything to the table besides Tre Mitchell??
Thank you for taking that step! That thread will automatically start once someone wonders about trying to get funding from Hugh Hefner's estate
Guy is a grade-A a$$hatBedazzled suits?
Very true.Billionaires don't take calls unless they went through the scrubbing process and a few strategically placed skilled defectors!!!
If I remember correctly, the rumor was that it was the Business School building. Probably would have changed majors if I could have gone to the Playboy School of Business. There was always a rumor floating around that he had previously donated money for a building but they wouldn't put his name on it. Possibly apocryphal.
Tony Bergeron looks like a human pyramid scheme.Bedazzled suits?
Yeah, that was a little vague. I'd say just not looking to use us as a stepping stone.
Doubt he would have. That was the last team I wanted to play in the second round for obvious reasons.I think it came from the MacIrvinFire Twitter account. After the Loyola game they went off talking about how Nick would have won that game by 30. Don’t think it came from Nick himself.
Yeah, it's amazing!Frazier is walking into a golden opportunity to show his recruiting ability. Lot's of excitement coming off our best season in years. Electric backcourt with ELITE defenders. The potential to have an ELITE frontcourt if Kofi returns. Incoming freshman with ELITE shooting. An ELITE new Ubben facility. Fans back in the AssemblyHallSFC.
And now he's selling his Illini. If I was any kind of a ELITE salesman, I'd be chomping at the bit to get out on that trail!
Damn. Starting from scratch.
Not going to lie, this honestly feels like an opportunity for BU. If we stay afloat with an entirely new staff, kudos to the man on top.
The thing is it is a thing. People are lamenting the loss of oa and possibly chin and they lasted a lot longer than this hired gunFun fact: that's the job, and a whole lot of legitimate programs have hired the guy. I'm not sure why people want to make this a thing. It's not a thing. A key part of the job description is "move to a new part of the country every few years."
And possibly Gentry, tooThe thing is it is a thing. People are lamenting the loss of oa and possibly chin and they lasted a lot longer than this hired gun
