I mean, we really don't know what the next year is going to look like wrt competition on the roster and who earns playing time vs who doesn't. People are understandably concerned about what the 2021 class does now as the staff changes, but the roles these kids fit into as they actually get onto campus can inform any 2022 transfer decisions, including for a guy like Podz who is clearing the air about the immediate future.
So to be clear, your focus after his tweet is to express your concern about him transferring next year?

Man. Page after page of replies to each other on this board, that has nothing to do with Illini sports. In the old days this discussion would be a couple of pages related to the good news, and then we would let it go. I don't recognize 80% of the names anymore, and this is turning into some kind of social media site with each post trying to be funnier than the last. Sure miss the good old days.

Battered Illinois Fan Syndrome. Treated with 10mL/kg/hr IV Kool-Aid. Patient instructed to follow up in April of 2022.
OOF. A case of the BIFS? That's rough. Nothing a little sponge bath can't fix.

So....you miss the "good old days" of two or three posts followed by.......nothing?

Exciting.

Isn't that just a long way of saying....

Got a feeling that Chester is going to prove the doubters wrong WRT recruiting. He appears to have excellent interpersonal skills. Marry those with being an utter junkyard dog and having a lot to sell, and look out.

Corhen looks severely underrated.

More recruiting news:

2022 four-star Jayden Epps has decommitted from Providence, per his Twitter page.

Previous Top 6: Arkansas, Florida, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, NC State, Providence.

Also held an offer from Kansas and unofficially added them to his list as well.

Yeah- I get that. I guess my questions was in reference to Illinois taking him. Should have phrased my question differently.
Exactly my thoughts. Take the guy on to get Mitchell, then once Mitchell leaves, let the assistant coach go. It’s 2-3 years.

You are saying this ISNT a social media site geared to Illini basketball fans? Maybe block folks you don't know or don't add the value you are seeking.

^^This. Trying to predict or worrying about the actions of an 18-22 yr old is pretty futile, especially now (see transfer portal). Even with fittings into roles you never know what they’ve been told or what could possibly happen over the course of the next year. Like a guy who started every game for a Top 5 team as a freshman could transfer out. I don’t disagree that you could basically have the mindset that anyone could transfer out, but I’d rather have the mindset that this guy committed to being here and I’ll enjoy him for the next year.

Funny, some think we only need Illinois alums as ACs, while some think if we do get an Illini Alum that he must somehow be less qualified. It's likely somewhere in the middle. Seems like Frazier, based on skill and background, as a player, is perfect for the job.

I live near Plano (Cameron Corhen), I'm going to try to catch a game with this guy.
