Based upon his most recent press conference, I think BU made it pretty clear that he only hires ACs he can trust and lean on in every aspect of their job. My personal read is that the idea of hiring an AC to land a single player is offensive to BU. When he hires an AC, he is hiring them to recruit multiple players, develop them, and set them up for success in game-time situations. I think BU is pretty well-rounded as a coach so he demands that from his ACs as well. The feel on this board is that Bergeron fails to check many of the necessary boxes for serious consideration. What am I missing here? I know he's a bit of a used car salesman, but at what point is a few years of Tre Mitchell in a position of huge need worth swallowing the pill for a 3rd or Assistant to Head coach position? What could that roster look like with Tre + maybe even Kofi for next year? I would think the amount of damage we could do would offset any issues of hiring that guy. I'm sure this has been discussed before lol
