Do we ever know something specific on the free boards? This board is like 80% conjecture, 10% insider commentary that is unprovable but appreciated, 10% logical fallacy, and 100% inferiority complex.
Good point. I've been around too long to make a mistake like that.

Don't know squat, but I do know there's no room at the inn as a '21. I heard he's considering that route (re-class) again, ergo, the decommit. No idea if this is BS or not. One thing's for sure though, he committed prematurely. He has myriad more options now, so that's probably a huge factor.
Feels pretty late in the cycle for a re-class. Tough sell for us too. We need to convince him on two fronts: to recommit to Illinois and to stay in the '22 class. If we happen to lose someone from our projected roster, maybe we offer Storr that spot to entice him?

I realize we are already bringing in 3 wings in 21, but I think if Storr wants to come as a 21 you make it work. And we do have 2 rides available currently, assuming Kofi isn’t back. Wondering if Kofi is coming back and we have a 4 in the hopper.

A pox on everyone who yearned for "more recruiting news." You (somehow) brought this upon all of us.

Guerrier: I assumed he was U of Nike bound, but mebbe not? Seems we have a clearer path to big minutes than they do.

He's not a perfect 4 and his D is a big question mark, but he'd be a damn good add. Will our Canadian pipeline finally pay dividends?

Don't know if this qualifies as premium info, but Piper has a public comment on his recent article that seems to indicate that Storr is considering reclassifying to 2021 (due to early HS graduation?). Sure didn't see that one coming.
I am pretty sure I saw on here around the time of Podz's commitment that Storr was considering joining the Illini for 2021 if Podz chose a different school. I recall thinking we were really firm with him based on his willingness to do what was best for the team in terms of his arrival.
This was also around the time everyone was wondering why we were taking the commitment of a 3 star wing with a bunch of mid-major offers... Obviously, you know... blah, blah, blah, fluid...

Occam’s razor.

Tampering is against the rules. We all know recruiting is shady. These calls happen. We expected it. They decided to stick with their original commitment. I think it’s all great news based on what we knew would happen.
I don't know if I'm aware of another non-shaving Razor except for Occam. Are there other Razor's people know and can use in everyday language? Besides Gillette and all them. Maybe there's a Fred out there with a Razor?

Well it's pretty difficult to name other razors if we aren't allowed to mention other razors.

Didn't Hamlin leaving for EIU create an opening?

Occam's razor is a great way to evaluate what you see around you, but there is another named razor everyone should know about: Hanlon's razor.

Hanlon's razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Once Mitchell graduates/leaves the team, Crean will have a rare opportunity to officially expand the definition of "creaning" to include getting rid of assistant coaches as well. That's the kind of innovation that can get you HOF consideration for "major contributions" to the sport!

Someone has been reading the board... LOL
What am I missing here? I know he's a bit of a used car salesman, but at what point is a few years of Tre Mitchell in a position of huge need worth swallowing the pill for a 3rd or Assistant to Head coach position? What could that roster look like with Tre + maybe even Kofi for next year? I would think the amount of damage we could do would offset any issues of hiring that guy. I'm sure this has been discussed before lol

Desperation move, Crean is hanging by a thread. A bunch of his players bolted, to boot.
