GA now full on scholarships with the commitment of Aaron Cook... Bryant seemed like it was only realistic if they hired Bergeron. Between ILL, LSU, TX, and FSU, we definitely have the most to offer in terms of playing time and a role to fill. If it's true that Bergeron may not get hired anywhere, I really like our chances with Tre Mitchell.

Georgia is full, LSU is full. They are both perceived to be out.

Bryant has some of his HS buddies but I don't know why else they're on there besides that connection and possibly hiring Bergeron. Have no clue where they stand scholarship wise.

Texas is really talented. Has really talented guards along with Tyson and Allen at the 3. They've also got Sims, Bishop, and Disu. Creates a pretty loaded front court and not a lot of shots to go around.

Leaves FSU and Illinois in my mind. Of course there are schools not on the list that are trying to get involved...

That's amazing. A buddy introduced me to Gentle Giant my freshman year at UIUC and have been a fan since.

We're gonna need to start a music thread for your stories alone, Seagee...

Right On ! I ended up spending about 10 years on the road myself managing a bunch of bands, including Champaign's own HUM, and was on some pretty big tours (Lollapalooza '95-'97, Wilco, Garbage, Bush, Goo Goo Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Fastball, Flaming Lips, Metallica’s Jason Newsted, Wu-Tang).

Jay Bennett from Wilco and I were roommates in downtown Champaign for about 6 years in the 90's, and Illinois Loyalty's main man Dan was my next-door neighbor there for several years as well.

Fun Times !

And just for kicks, I'm a 4th-generation Illini, with my Great-Grandpa first attending here in 1908! I ended up creating U of I's first Environmental Science degree back in 1990. Carl Sagan was our Commencement speaker and spent his entire talk on Env issues. Made my parents proud !

Jay Bennett was a really good dude - RIP. He was HS buddies with my college roommate so hung with him a bit, he was playing with the Rebel Ducks back then during his undergrad days.

Matt Talbott recorded my first album. Hum was very influential in my early music career. I was pretty nervous to have him actually hear our stuff.

I, too, graduated from NRES.

Podz too.
Don't forget Melendez is a knock down shooter from 3 also! With an off the dribble threat and will climb upstairs on you for the finish! Also Hawkins has a nice jumper and will hopefully be comfortable, and get more playing time this year!
