TC, I can tell you that Sturdy was told directly from one of the staff about the announcement of the AC3 "will be this week".Brad Sturdy doesn't know anymore now that Antigua his "buddy" is gone.
Have to think a name will surface soon.TC, I can tell you that Sturdy was told directly from one of the staff about the announcement of the AC3 "will be this week".
This^^ Also Manning was recruiting 5 stars at KU, but does the investigation they’re under make you wonder about exactly how much of that was him?Not sure of your point, but Manning was college teammates at Kansas with Maryland’s HC, so that may have been the only AC position Manning was willing to take.
Who is this Chet you speak of?I just listened to Piper and Warner talking about both Chet and the promotion of Alexander. They both spoke very highly of Alexander, and I'm certainly okay with giving him a chance. Not a splashy name, but sounds like a very good basketball man, and very likable. Sounds like Antigua gave him a thumbs up as well.
Guess we'll know next week.Brad Sturdy doesn't know anymore now that Antigua his "buddy" is gone.

I'm a tad upset that we lost our GRAND SLAM: OA! I'll have to give our new AC's a chance. I wonder if our next coach will have Chicago ties?
I guess you're implying that 4* recruits are SILVER and 5* recruits GOLD?
So nothing is new
Id say about 22If Chester is a 7 what would Danny Manning (Maryland) be?
Dont forget his ties to isreal. You are getting off your own topic here. You were comparing our new hires to our old ACs and rating the new ones on the beginning of their tenure here vs the old ones on the end of their tenure. That is what I was responding to.
Also, Chester Frazier has a ton of East Coast ties.
Well duh.......oa had just left to try out head coaching....as his mentor or pal or boss or whatever you give him his lease on life. Let him fly the coop. However, when it becomes apparent he is happy to be back as a superstar ac then you say why not here....Fans may have wanted him hired back at Kentucky, but Cal didn't do anything until 4 years later and Payne had left. And no other blue blood programs hired him. He's a good recruiter and I was pleased that Underwood hired him at Illinois and I wish he had stayed, but I don't think he's as great as many other fans do. I also think his recruiting at Kentucky was made easier by the extras that assistants can offer.
I hope that chester can prove himself and become a superstar ac of about 20. Time will tell on that one.Id say about 22
Have to say that the original person I was told sounds like it was wrong, but the timing is still there. The other smoke I'm hearing is more of an up and comer. I think he's a solid get if it's him, but he's not as well-known to the casual fan.
Are you saying our minds will, in fact, NOT be blown?Have to say that the original person I was told sounds like it was wrong, but the timing is still there. The other smoke I'm hearing is more of an up and comer. I think he's a solid get if it's him, but he's not as well-known to the casual fan.
Total mind-teaseAre you saying our minds will, in fact, NOT be blown?
For me (which doesn't mean squat)... An "up and comer" would be a slight letdown considering 1) the multitudes that Coach Underwood said was knocking on the door, 2) the time is has taken to fill the vacancy, 3) the inherent risk of an "up and comer" at a high-major school, and 4) if the re$ource$ that were thought to be available are not fully utilized.Have to say that the original person I was told sounds like it was wrong, but the timing is still there.
