Roger would look better with an "I" on the front of his shirt.....or even better "CHIEF"!Couple former Illini coming back to "haunt" us!?
My last post actually mentioned incorporating official visits into the scholarship grid, since I'm tracking recuit offers there anyway. Still have to figure out the best way to do it or if tracking it in a separate thread is the best way to go. I'm open to ideas.I think Underwood feels the same. The fact that he’s burning an official visit early tells me we are all in on this kid.
Maybe we can talk @BMoreIllini into resurrecting the official visit grid.
I would do whatever is the simplest for you. Those 3 extra lbs is where all the power is huh? (just giving you a hard time...Corhen is listed at 205lbs on 247 -- though that could be old data too).Yeah, you're right. But he's not an out-of-the-box PF, whereas Corhen is. And, FWLIW, my preference for Corhen holds.

Of course everyone's weight will go up as they get older and work out more under the guidance of a trainer. But how many examples are there of thin big guys who really beefed up in college? We've had lots of dreams of guys stacking on pounds that haven't come true. I think frame size really matters so I'd be curious about that. Are there actually measurements for such a thing?I don't think too much weight (heh) should be put on someone's weight as a HS junior in projecting how that will impact the role they'll play at higher levels, since that is bound to change moving forward. Casey plays like a PF and has enough size to occupy that spot, particularly in college.
If that is JR Koch's son, makes sense Iowa has offered.Illini Interested!

I mean, it certainly happens just as much as it doesn't happen. Remember what Kipper looked like when he got here? Or look at Justin Smith in HS, who just finished his career playing center. Casey is young and has a good frame for putting on weight and has apparently already added a lot of it over the last year+, so we can assume he's capable of continuing to add more. Not to mention that the game doesn't call for power forwards in the mold of Karl Malone anymore. It seems very realistic that Casey could have measurements similar to Pascal Siakam by the end of his freshman season (adding 10lbs per year). Whether he ends up playing the 3 or the 4 at the next level (if he makes it) depends on skill more than his body -- right now he plays more like a 4 than a wing.Of course everyone's weight will go up as they get older and work out more under the guidance of a trainer.
