With sanctions seeming inevitable and Ace recruiter snacks off to another program, is a little of the sheen off of KU? At least enough to make it a little less attractive to a kid like Epps?
The only thing different is other programs can now help a player get money legally instead of just under the table. I don’t see sanctions as inevitable. If they get anything at all it will be some type of probation that doesn’t amount to squat.

NBA scouts told coaches that Curbelo was the best NBA prospect on the team last year over Ayo and Kofi.
Agreed. If I had to bet on which one would have the best career, I'd take Belo. There's a misconception that his defense is not that good, but that's just not true and all the advanced stats show it. There's a lot of small guards in the league that are worse defenders than him right now (Jalen Brunson, Trae Young, Lou Will, etc.). IMO, he needs to a) improve his outside shot and b) cut down on the dumb, over-aggressive plays on offense and defense that lead to TOs or fouls. The latter just takes time -- he's too savvy on the court to not make those improvements. So it really just comes down to the shooting. His FT% and form suggest improvement there is highly likely. If he's over 35% from 3 on a decent number of attempts, I will be extremely surprised to see a junior Curbelo on our team (😞).

BU to OA: “Doing anything fun with all that new money you got?”

Chester thinks BU is talking to him instead, and responds naming a hobby of collecting stuff youd never guess.
Haha. At first I thought you were talking about bag money.

Strongly disagree, Piper is one of the best in the business and he very rarely puts in crystal balls until things are nearly imminent (for the record he is 31/34 all time for a 90+% correct rate)
I swear there have been multiple times where he picks Illinois originally, then flips his “crystal ball” once the recruitment is basically finished? Am I wrong on that one?

He might, I’m not positive. The system probably isn’t perfect. But I know he very rarely throws CBs at the wall and hope they stick. And as well all know… recruiting is fluid. Lol

I'm seeing that Jayden Epps took official visits to Kansas, UConn and NC St. Has he taken one to U of I? Is he going to commit to us without visiting? Would feel good to be on the right side of one of those for once.

He took an unofficial visit to Illinois on June 17. If anything, unofficials are better because that means the player himself is paying for the visit instead of the college…

I wouldn’t say that makes it better. A lot of times it’s because of accessibility to the school, proximity to AAU events, stuff like that. A player only gets 5 officials so it makes sense to take advantage of unofficial visits

Howard wasn't the Ace recruiter at KU, Townsend is. Or Self.
