The days of looking at a scholarship chart and anticipating what a team will look like in 2 years are over. Players are going to try to put themselves in a position to get playing time. Coaches are are going to try to create competition for playing time. These things won’t change.
If you aren’t getting tick it’s probably because you aren’t better or smarter than the other guy… just like life…
Coaches are going to have to constantly rebuild as the pecking order gets defined.
Why do we continue to recruit guards? Because if you don’t have guards you don’t have squat… ask the 2020-21 Kentucky Wildcats.

Is it crazy to think that this Illinois team could be better than last year? Obviously learning to play without Ayo could be a challenge to start, but I think both Trent and Curbelo are going to have HUGE years, and Kofi could very well be the NPOY. If Plummer is going to be tasked with the designated spot up shooter I think he will do the job much better than Adam Miller did last year, and I think the rest of the team is so deep and has so many x factors (Hutcherson, Grandison, Coleman, freshman, etc.) that we are better set up this year than last.

I remember that Michigan game. We absolutely can be better than last year.
I think we have followed the rules but worked the gray areas very well. If we flat out cheat, we will be destroyed by the NCAA. I still believe they have a beef against us.

Loren Tate just repeated what 0440 said about 10 days ago. Basically OA kept telling Kofi to return to Illinois way back prior to him entering the portal. Also that Illinois was always the destination.
It's been Friday for 61 minutes now Kofi.......need to be able to safely remove my cup so I can free up my only shot glass for celebration!!!!!
