Well it won't be Dee Brown and Deon has said he likes spending time with his children. I don't know anything about Deon's marital status, but if his daughters live in the Chicago area, I'd be surprised if he moved to Champaign. Also, he has the broadcasting gig, but I don't have any idea what his day job is.
I am under the impression that Deon's day job is with the university as a PR face of the University. I remember a couple of years ago , he could not do a BB game because he had a brunch/ function at some alum's home in Downers Grove. Chicago is a good place for him.

Not sure if this was posted anywhere, but Leron Black was recently named grad assistant at Dayton.
What a fantastic person to bring into your program, wish we had him. His story is what it is all about!! Maybe we need to get involved?

Agree that Leron was great and I’m happy to have an alumni on staff when possible... but I hope he continues to build experience elsewhere. It’s good to explore the world and learn from others

CHICAGO, Ill. (WCIA) — Leron Black is spending his summer giving back. The former Illini is working out at Roberto Clemente High School in Chicago, not with a professional trainer, but with the high school team. Black’s been in the gym with kids from the community every day, giving back while working on his game, two things he learned in college.
“I found my passion for working with kids while I was at Illinois,” says Black. “I found out how to work hard, what it meant to work hard at the highest level.”
Adam Hoover coaches the varsity team at Clemente and says Black’s presence has been invaluable this summer.
