I'm quite glad Charlotte won last night actually. Get it out of their system. It was at home too, a real Ron Guenther special from Duke's AD.It never fails. The quickest way to take your program up a level or three is to schedule Illinois.
If Miami is the 14th best team in the country, does that mean Alabama is the 4th best team in the NFC East?
Boy, it's almost as if watching their games would be more compelling without a playoff.Even if they lose a game, it'll be viewed as a fluke and they'll make the CFP.
At least with a playoff, there's a chance someone can play out of their heads against them, or their QB has an off night, or key guys are injured, etc..Boy, it's almost as if watching their games would be more compelling without a playoff.
Bring on the 12-team playoff. College football will then become more competitive at the top. May take 3-4 years.Unreal how dominant they are. It's only one game, but they look every bit the #1 and NC favorite. Not sure how do you bet against them this year. Even if they lose a game, it'll be viewed as a fluke and they'll make the CFP.
Well, no, you go from 12 chances for them to have an off day that ruins their season to only 2, right? At least with a playoff, there's a chance someone can play out of their heads against them, or their QB has an off night, or key guys are injured, etc..
The exact opposite is going to happen.Bring on the 12-team playoff. College football will then become more competitive at the top. May take 3-4 years.
More programs (perhaps as many as 25-30 schools) will be able to tout post-season playoff aspirations to HS seniors.

And it will be unimaginably worse with 12 teams. Imagine how meaningless that Clemson/Georgia game is under a 12 team playoff. It becomes nothing more than a big NFL regular season game.
I'm thinking Iowa isn't as good as they're showing today and Indiana isn't as bad. Just a weird game for IU.Indiana getting HANDLED by Iowa right now.
I recall some analysis saying they were actually not as good as their record last year dictated.
I wonder if this year will prove that out.
Or maybe Iowa is just really good.
It depends, which is the beauty of it.You're assuming a single loss ruins their chances at the #1 ranking. I don't believe that's true, especially with their schedule.

Good for us. Our win will now look better!I thought Maryland looked pretty good against WV.
Thatās also bc they played a terrible team with a terrible defense. I wish we had that luxuryWell this is somethingā¦Martinez graded out week this week.
