Im watching UWashington v Montana on my other screen. They do stuff like return kicks and not fumble and play fundamentals. Its an interesting contrast.

i guess I can’t blame Joseph for the turnover. He’s doing his job, the ball takes an odd (and sudden) bounce, and there’s really nothing he could do there. Defense stepped up, especially Witherspoon.

Yeah, it would have been great to get a shot at another score for the offense, but hopefully that will give the D some confidence.

Agreed. That just seemed like bad luck more than anything.

Leading in rushing yards but 50 yards penalties already. Time for a nice 11 minute drive when we get the ball in the 2nd half. Even things up.

Ok, Illini battled back to get in this game. I do like seeing Illini correctly use timeouts at end of half. Really haven’t seen that reliably done since, well maybe Ron Turner…

9:00 drive ending with a TD would be perfect here! :)

After the the way the first quarter went, we gotta be happy that we have the chance to take the lead with the opening drive of the 2nd half.
