Ok, well Dan has it set up where if you click on the name it takes you to the discussion of his announcement. You can put in a little effort. Kind of like RTFM.

He's from Orlando with seemingly no ties to Illinois. Is there a reason we should get our hopes up here?

No good place to put this, but am watching ESPN’s PTI and they were talking about Clemson being down. Not sure of the timeframe (maybe last two years), but David Pollack said Clemson has lost 20 players to transfer portal and signed zero. That is crazy.

So totally random question that has nothing to do with the current quality of our offense….how good is Donovan Leary?

I’ve heard mixed reviews. Some very positive, others not so much.

From an article on 247 about current Big 10 QB commits:

"Through three games, Illinois commit Donovan Leary is 37 out of 68 for 523 yards and five touchdowns with four interceptions. His team is currently 1-2. Leary committed to the Illini back in March shortly after Bret Bielema and his staff offered.

247 analyst Brian Dohn saw Leary live against Red Bank Catholic and filed the following note:

"Leary did not look like the same quarterback from events in the spring in an uneven first half against Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic. He missed a pair of deep passes to open receivers, including one to start the game, and he finished 6 of 13 for 70 yards and an interception. He was accurate on most of his short passes, although he did throw one interception on a route to the right. He was under constant pressure from Red Bank Catholic's defense and he was sacked twice. He did not play in the second half of a 34-0 loss. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Leary does have a strong arm and a quick release, so look for him to bounce back quickly.""

Alright so QB help is not on the way really.
