That was just a thorough butt kicking. The 1st half offense got the 2nd half defense in a massive hole.

Please forgive me and the upcoming Beckmaning, but if we stop them on that 3rd and 12 to start the second half, this may have been a different game.

Bret will get it done here, but no way can anyone come in and turn it around in year one.

It’s a process and I really think we have the right guy - but the offensive game plan today was terrible and put us in a big hole.

We need a qb that can read defenses and hit some throws. That said we should have at least tried running today.

I do think it’s fair to critique the game plan to a point. But we couldn’t run the ball against Wisconsin. Almost no one can. We actually had some receivers open but Sitkowski couldn’t find them at all. I don’t recall ever seeing a qb so consistently off target. Would have liked to have seen what the walk on or even Robinson could have done. Sitkowski didn’t even give the receivers a chance.

My 2 cents. A lot to work on obviously, but if don’t have a qb who can even put it close to the receivers makes calling a game really challenging

We were playing 10 on 11 for most of the game on offense. I think we all know which position was missing.
0440 said something about Art having 6 or 7 passes that should have been picked in his previous games. He had at least that many today. Part of the problem was bad play calling for him but part of it is that he is not good. How can we not have at least someone on the team that looks like a real QB?

I thought this game, win or lose, would be a good opportunity to see who we really are. Sadly, it was.

I refuse to excuse the inexcusable. Worst offensive performance this century, ... but it just takes time? Wisky knew what we were going to do on virtually every play. Makes it very easy to defend.

Johnson should get a look once we reach the last 4 games of the season. That way he can preserve his redshirt.

So it shouldn’t take time? We should start over with the staff?

Art missed some open guys when he got into the game. But to start the second half we didn’t call anything to get Art comfortable with him sitting at 0-7.
Our lack of calling for screen passes is dumbfounding. Your OL is getting demolished and we called nothing to slow down their DL.
So TP takes a lot of blame in this one.

You hit the nail on the head. We don't have a real QB, the only thing we can do is run and we faced the best rushing defense in the country. We had to try a different plan but BB refuses to.
So it shouldn’t take time? We should start over with the staff?
Stop taking it to extremes. It does take time, but it's reasonable to expect progress, not further regression. If you're QB's can't put the ball withini reach of receivers, you try a different QB. If your style doesn't fit your personnel, you change your style to fit. On the offensive side of the ball, make your case for the progress you're seeing and the changes in style that we've implemented. On the other hand, I'm very happy with the progress we've seen on defense.

We are who we thought we were. I don't think we have a QB on the roster who could start for a FCS team, our O-Line is suspect and our WR's have a difficult time getting separation. UW is a physical, fundamentally strong defensive team. This was just a very tough match up for us.

Playing scared, playing stupid, with less talented players, is not fun to watch. The Lovie and Beckman eras have set us back light years. After what I saw today, I believe that we are the worst Power 5 team in America. It takes a lot of dumb administrative choices for this to have gotten so far out of hand. I'll youtube the end of the IL-OSU game in 2007 again to make myself feel better.
