Yes. He could redshirt this year and have four years left.I know this kept calling Lieb a redshirt-FR .. but wasn't last year a free year and should still technically have a redshirt still available?

And allowing for a season ending injury in some future year, he could have five years to complete those four additional seasons.Yes. He could redshirt this year and have four years left.
This. He looked surprisingly good in the short clips I've seen. He's clearly made a lot of progress since he arrived in CU.I’m just excited to have Lieb. In the article somebody posted, it’s says he’s at 7’0 220 now with the goal of adding 20 more pounds. If he accomplishes that goal we will have a 7’0 240 freshman who’s been in our system for 2 years with 4 years of eligibility remaining. What a luxury.
Agree. Every team has to have a 13th guy (this year excepted of course). We could do a lot worse than having a skilled 7 foot project as ours. May never be all BIG but seems like he has the right attitude and think he could be a contributor in a year or 2.This. He looked surprisingly good in the short clips I've seen. Lol...this could be one of those stories where the kid (Lieb) goes head to head with a guy/s like Kofi and now Payne every day in practice for 4 years.....gets an extra year..now 2...of eligibility....and goes on to have a solid 10 year NBA career because he's smart and steady super experienced.
Wait...are there even any of these stories? Did I just create a story?
Illini center Brandon Lieb 'staying with the process,' developing behind Cockburn, Payne
When he committed to Illinois, lanky big man Brandon Lieb committed to a long-term process. He remains steadfast in that commitment.247sports.com
NBA? Put down the pipe.
I think all of us will be delighted if Lieb morphs into a productive rotation player. Anything more is icing.
Don't be intimidated, continue to create your stories. Awaiting chapter 2...Yeah, I wasn't predicting it.....hence the word "could" in my post. I'm merely positing a possible great story. Not a likely one.
Ha! Careful what you wish for....Don't be intimidated, continue to create your stories. Awaiting chapter 2...
Ok, take the weekend off, watch some football, and reconsider your next move next week. ; )Ha! Careful what you wish for....

How many Ph D candidates have there been in the history of Division I ball?
How long before we start worrying about him going pro? This. He looked surprisingly good in the short clips I've seen. He's clearly made a lot of progress since he arrived in CU.

I believe he's working on his third doctorate as we speak. Is JCL a PhD candidate? I realize he is a very bright man, but I've not heard anything about his degree ambitions.

Technically yes, but unlike Trent and Monte, his scholarship would count against the l3 limit. Thus, the staff can choose not to bring him back for the extra year if they feel the scholarship can be put to better use.I know this kept calling Lieb a redshirt-FR .. but wasn't last year a free year and should still technically have a redshirt still available?
Rivals says he is finishing the second one. No Ph D for him!His linkedin lists two Masters
