Meaning that due to injuries he just isn't a power 5 player anymore, and will go to a lesser program? I imagine if he could not get playing time here he wont get it at another power 5.....
Does anybody know if Cooper has been playing or what happened? Thought he was a big get and haven’t heard much about him

Was looking through some of the old Illinois HS prospect names in recent years. Lots of guys who went to other Big Ten programs (ugh, but not surprising), so not sure how fruitful that would be for transfers. Definitely could see Bielema tap into the U. of Wisconsin future transfers. Also ran into Micah Jones' (did nothing at ND, kinda doing nothing at ISU) and Jason Bargy (oh boy) names.
I’m thinking SMU as his next destination. They’ve built their program on bringing in former top Texas prospects

Wouldn't be surprised if he's a DL now. He was pretty big in HS, and I'm sure has put on weight in a S&C program

Was impressed with beating MN today, go Illini! What's it look like for future ILL quarterbacks on the roster taking over in the future or being recruited?
If memory serves me correctly, the talk inside the organization and at Lutheran North was Doyle had all but officially committed to Illinois. Then, about 8 hours before his announcement, everything fell apart.
A lot of his decision to choose Illinois was family related. But, apparently that sort of resolved itself in the 11th hour.
He also looooved Lovie, but when the opportunity to play in the SEC arose, it became hard to pass on that. I’m no insider, but this particular recruit had a close relationship to a teacher at North with whom I’m also close too.
I just wonder if the draw to choose Illinois would be there still.
Watching MSU - Purdue. Amazing what MSU has done with a few key transfers to fill some key holes. This has to be our blueprint going forward - too many holes to fill with high schoolers.

Believe I heard or read that BB is targeting some portal IL players that went elsewhere. Depends on the fit obviously but sounded like they may get the benefit of doubt.
