Who has Brad got, then lost, that he really wanted to keep?
When's the last time he got a high 4 star(or higher) recruit to commit to him three years early? He's got his whole Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons to play yet. Hard to imagine that over that stretch, if this kid is as special as he's being portrayed to be, that multiple blue bloods won't be saying hello.

I'd love to learn of a super strong connection that the kid has to the school/program/coaches that would shut all that down.

I mean, on the same note, I'm sure he just as us knows other high majors will come and offer. Even knowing that, he shut his recruitment down. That speaks volumes. It's not like he's some kid that doesn't know he's a top talent and will have some growth spurt or a sudden burst. He's already a top prospect and chose to shut it down.

Regardless, I can't lose sleep about a prospect who wont be here for another ~3 years

You're correct, it's pessimism, but not sure it's 100% unwarranted. We'll see. I'll buy what you're selling. He's O & B until we hear otherwise.
I think you are saying this is an atypical recruiting situation for us, and we have to be a bit wary. Both the super early commitment and the potential for him to be an all American, which we don’t get many of. Will he stay committed if all the big players have 2 years to get into his ear, with the NIL money a wildcard. Fair points. To BashCts point, who knows what will happen, and rather then fret it for two years hope for the best and only get worked up if/when it doesn’t work out.

I still read this as Tracy Abrams and was thoroughly confused.
Tim Anderson better keep this thing locked down. That’s what he is here for.
Ha ha, I thought the same thing! Yeah, maybe/hopefully we finally have a guy in TA that closes these deals. He’s the missing link to Chicago we have always wanted😁

If Johnson is that good, he may be a re-class candidate.
What exactly does that mean? He’ll intentionally try and finish up high school early to get to college/nba earlier. I never understood how people graduated high school early since that wasn’t a think when I was there a long time ago. Summer school I assume, but that would clash with AAU.

You've always been able to get done with high school early if you wanted. I had a classmate get done a year early, she just didn't take any study halls. That alone is 6 extra classes over 3 years.

Those are strong words for an area that just produced JJ Taylor

Eric Gordon, the gift that keeps on giving 15 years later. We are really already worrying about a kid who just committed to us decommitting based on absolutely nothing other than the fact he's really, really good? If Gordon never happened, I don't think we'd be concerned about Morez.

The nabobs would simply fallback to the Louisville PG fiasco. But to your point, our fanbase's flinch quotient is second to none.
