This is pretty much exactly what I expected to see. I really liked that last play with Hawkins cutting to Kofi. Hopefully that was a set that we can run a few times in 2H. Would also like to see Kofi just going up with it quick off the double team a few times to see if he can draw a couple fouls and slow things down a bit.

Pretty crazy that we are now a team that thrives in the half court rather than transition. I guess that's what no Ayo or AC + Kofi suddenly being able to pass out of the double team gets you.
Have to think these threes open it up a bit for Kofi. Guys are starting to see the skip pass and I love it. Jake and Hawkins need to continue to put it on the deck where appropriate and Trent needs to bring the ball up.

If Iowa is going to continue to collapse prior to Kofi getting the ball down low, then I'm content with Grandison parked in the corner.
I say spread Plummer and Grandison in corners, set a high ball screen with Kofi and Trent, and then make the defense choose.

Now if that happens, I will then have issues with the refs. If they allow them to play physical in the first half, let them do it in the second half. That's good reffing. Now, if everything in the 2nd half is a foul, that's poor.
Just be consistent and they're doing their job.

I think the most frustrating (encouraging?) thing is, once again, most of our turnovers are unforced. I counted 1 moving screen and at least 2 or 3 scenarios where guys miscommunicated on cuts and threw the ball out of bounds. 1 was Trent dribbling through a double team and another was Plummer pushing 1 on 3. I think only 1 was a direct result of the press. We will be fine (more than fine!) if we can get on the same page and cut down on those. I think we’re improving, but we’re far from perfect at this juncture. Good thing is this offense is talented enough that we’re still winning.

By the way, it was a while back and didn't end up in any points but that Kofi feed to Goode was really impressive. He's gotten so much better passing it's really pretty hard to believe.
