I feel so bad for him but I didn't think he would play this year. I doubt the coaches were counting on him being healthy. Anything we would get from him was a bonus. Poor kid has had some terrible luck.

Not that anyone can answer the question with any validity, but though I am not an advanced mathematician, my mind is still capable of adding some things. Ten weeks would put us well before the end of the regular season. No one knows how well AH will recover, but in my mind, he could ready to play prior to the B1G tournament. Just saying....and I do not think he is a quitter.

Hopefully he'll be able to return and still be on the team for next year even in a more healthy status.
I don't see it. We've already committed a scholarship to him for three years and gotten nearly nothing. With the way that recruiting has picked up since he came on board, I'd be surprised if Wood risks a scarce schollie for another year.

Beat me to it. I was trying to figure out how to word this. I agree.

In terms of eligibility, I think he'd have two. Medical hardship for this year, free year due to covid for last year, had two years when he transferred in.

Feel for the guy but he will have had 3 years education on scholarship at a great university—don’t see the obligation.
I am not sure we are obligated, but I still believe in doing the right thing. If Hutch wants to return and he can play, he should get a basketball scholarship. If he wants to return but cannot play, he should get another form of scholarship.

Not going to happen. Undie wont get rid of him unless Hutch decides to move on.
Like others who left the staff can explain because of his health there is no playing time. Would be in his best interest to move on

We’ve had plenty of transfers leave, but I don’t recall Underwood pushing any of his own recruits to go.
