Legit though, how are they just going to "find a team"? The semester is over, kids are at home with their families.
I think I read that the replacement team needs to come from a different bowl (ie. another team withdraws from a bowl game and the misfits play each other).

As much as I would love to see us play in it, I would have to imagine FSU or FAU are much more realistic options for the Gator Bowl.

While it’s fun to think about, it would be tough to field a very good team. Anyone looking at the draft has probably been working out but would they play? The younger guys got some practices in, but the seniors haven’t practiced since northwestern right?

I mean I’m all for it, but seems like really tough thing to pull off now and look competent and not get anyone hurt.

Speaking realistically, what are the chances Illinois plays this game? I'd have to say less than 20%.... right? I'd love for them to, regardless of how competent we look. If we can find out in the next 24 hours that we can practice even 3 days next week, I'd have to think Illinois jumps all over that. BB even hinted at that himself.

Now, follow up... What are the chances thy puch the game back a few days to allow a stand-in team to prepare? That's probably zero percent I'd have to think.

They would do it for the extra practice and reps for the young guys. Thats about it

I thought you were allowed a certain amount of practice, game is Dec 31st. I'm all in!

The elephant in the room is, who would play quarterback?

Let's play! I-L-L... The team will be fine! They've practiced all year... they know what to do... they know the plays and their assignments... play your game and don't worry about the scout that much... watch some film and get some quick analysis and play to our strengths! Let's Go!
