Also, I think Trent Frazier is now better than Dee was.

Just noticed that we're now the 16th best 3-point shooting team in America (39.0%) among D1 schools -- and yet 4th in the state of Illinois behind Western, ISU and Loyola. Mizzou is ranked 354 out of 358 schools.

Purdue leads the BigTen and we're second in conference. Colorado St. is #1 nationally at 44%.
That explains why CSU is undefeated.

Really bummed by Michigan being ranked 11th in the BIG power ranking.

... and really mystified why the author of the power rankings column (a Michigan alum) devoted five paragraphs to #14 Nebraska when no other team got more than two and many got only one.:LOL:

You have to question the intelligence of the author when he has Northworstern ranked #8 in the B1G . . . Has he seen them play this year?

I haven't seen them play and shared your befuddlement, but was shocked just now to find that KenPom has them ranked 36 (??!!), 15 positions ahead of MD and 35 ahead of Minnesota.

That’s a lot for a small, and older, player in one offseason. I’d be interested to know what made them want to chose to a bulking route for him. Maybe had to get his shoulders strong enough to take 300 3s this year.
He's not exactly bulky. He's ripped. As long as you don't sacrifice mobility, any added strength and bulk makes a player that much more capable of fighting through physical play.

I expect the SFC will be less full for a bit

Will they be giving refunds to those who do not wish to do this(or who test positive?) They have changed the terms of the tickets that have already been purchased and I can foresee many in this area not being happy with this.

Yes. Strength translates to power, and in these guys who are genetically gifted with explosiveness, that marginal strength increase yield large dividends. There's no reason why any of these guys should have a deadlift under 600#, a squat under 500, or an overhead press under 225. And probably north of there.

Ya, no. Do a little digging and your numbers are really off.

Dunno folks. I am extremely bullish on this season.

March is, IMHO, the next stop to reconsider. B10 season and T are more than within reach. Not saying a done deal, but saying a done deal.

Greetings Illini fans. A couple notes-

1) The Andre Curbelo thread has run its course and been closed. The discussion can continue in this thread & the pregame thread as we await the latest status updates leading up to the next game.

2) Some posts in this thread were recently moved to the Coronavirus Pandemic thread in the Chat forum. After further consideration, I've decided to remove that thread altogether. Reason being, I don't have time to moderate a coronavirus thread. Plz pardon for the inconvenience.

For now we'll attempt to center the pandemic discussion as to how it relates to issues surrounding Illini athletics. Topics such as reschedulings, arena entry requirements, and inquiries into tix refunds would be on topic.

Go Illini
