At least two of those were on his own misses. But, still… Love the energy!
Rightfully so. 8 points, 5 boards and 5 blocks in ten minutes. His late block followed by the alley oop dunk was tremendous for momentum. Then he made two late free throws that were huge. Just a tremendous effort by him.
And Trent was an absolute beast. He played a fantastic game.
IDK. Trent kinda looks like PG to me. Drive to the hoop. Make FTs. Pull up for a 3. Shut down the D. Fearless!
Big time growth in C Hawk. In the past he would have pouted and tried to do too much when he got in the game. Loved his minutes overall.
Kofi really looked gassed. His FT's barely made it to the rim. Hope he's feeling well.
He has improved a lot in regards to that position since Belo went down. I believe he was our point guard when he was a freshman.
Grandy and DFW are not jump shooters and therefore do not depend on their legs to elevate when shooting beyond the arc. Trent, however, is a jump shooter and should get a tip of the hat for his effort in crunch time. His motor does not turn off. Plummer is also a jump shooter...and needs to be at his height, but was off tonight. This team has 4 strong and confident shooters from the arc and can buy anyone if they ever get them all hot at once. Not enough basketballs though.

An off night? Is my sarcasm meter broken? He had 29 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. That may be the single greatest off night since the first Peach Basket Game.

I was going to say, there were some really good individual efforts on offense. The defense just wasn't as good as it has been.
Gotta remember...when Belo returns, a shooter sits. Belo has got to be a plus...and that won't be as a shooter.
We needed that win. Next 4 games are going to be tough!

That win was so ugly, it would make a freight train take a dirt road. Trent carried us for large stretches, and Omar and Cohawk came to play. So satisfying to see our bench make a huge difference in regaining momentum to close this one out. Kofi did not feel at full strength tonight, but still showed a lot of fight. Hopefully, he is fresh and ready to go at full speed on Friday.
for the last 3-4 games, Payne has not hurt us when he was on the floor and some times was a positive force. Players get better with this staff.
