That was as vague a commitment time decision as I have ever read.....no offense intended........I thought it would have more of a time frame when but i didn't see it .....I know it's his decision to make , but it was , again , so vague that i don't know any more than I did before reading the article ......

Seems like he likes everyone.

I like Boswell's game, very grounded and fundamental. He will be a solid college guard, he strikes me as a Brunson type PG. The only knock is he isn't uber athletic or long, basically not Ja Morant. But once again he would be a coach on the floor, plays solid defense and outside shooting is Plummer-esque.
Can see him switching playing both PG and Combo during a game.

I can see him waiting to see who leaves/returns.

lol.....yep, and there's nothing wrong with that , but the headline to the article was a bit overblown compared to the content..............JMHO
I agree on headline. I'm not expecting a decision for a good while. Holding out might draw a couple new suitors

He is a Junior, so you can say Epps with be there in two years, Harris will be there, and Curbelo will be a Senior if he hasn't went pro by then. Podz will be a Junior. With that shooting that Boswell provides, I believe he will play decent minutes as a freshman. This is the only year that a freshman hasn't started since Underwood has been at Illinois. If it wasn't for the super seniors sticking around, the freshmen would be playing a whole lot more.

I hope we get Boswell but its a long shot. He is in PHX AZ now and and the new AZ coach has the program rocking. Of course if you have been to Tucson AZ (hot) you might want to go school elsewhere. I doubt having family in C-U is going to swing him back to Illinois.

On the other hand the more I see of Fears on TV I am OK with losing him. Although he is quick and a good passer he is one of two point guards who start for La Lumiere. The other JJ Starling is a senior and has signed with ND. Fears does not shoot from the outside. He plays on a powerhouse team where all 5 starters are going to be P5 players. Fears will probably become a good B10 player but he is not the 2nd coming of Isiah Thomas (Westchester St. Joseph, IU, Pistons).

Curbelo gone after this year

There's now 40 years of all big ten guards, many of whom were NBA lottery picks, that aren't the 2nd coming of Isiah Thomas.

We all knew Zeke wasn't his comp. Personally I wish nothing but the best for the kid. I think he'd do great here but I'm prepared to wait on a bigger fish.

This. If Fears has a similar college career as Garris, that would be pretty darn good. FWLIW, I don't think he's a good as Garris was.

Sounds really positive for Arizona. Hopefully that changes!
Sounded really positive for the two schools he's visited -- AZ and USC -- which isn't all surprising. If he likes living in AZ then I see them as a tough beat, but I'm not going to read much into these types of quotes until he's visited U of I. Think the official visit and red carpet treatment plus a return home could be big.

Would love to see what creative puts together if he does take an official here -- tons of potential. If there isn't video montage that starts off with Homecoming by Kanye, that would be a mistake.

Kiwane was a good shooter. For Illini guards a good player who didn't shoot particularly well I'd say Clemons.

Not real important. I think if Epps and Harris aren't on board then we'd have worked harder to get Fears. But we're sitting pretty well and can afford to wait.
