Ya 10 foot fade is part of his arsenal.
That's fine by me, but some folks seemed to be complaining about his decisionmaking back then. I'm not sure his decisionmaking was a whole lot different against Purdue. Different results, yes, but I'm not convinced that the decisionmaking was a whole lot different.

But if he was still suffering from a concussion in the earlier games, (which I have more than a few questions about Belo’s original return) then don’t you think that would affect the results?

DMW is not getting the open looks from 3 he was given last year as defenders respect his shooting percentage and are doing a better job of closing on him. As a result the defender is not helping elsewhere, improving our overall offense efficiency. Given his defense and rebounding, as well as our other shooters and Kofi, he absolutely belongs on the court. Not to mention he is generally the first into a scrum to protect a teammate.
Don't feel persecuted oldman...there are a ton of posters who do not understand his value....just be glad BU does. Your observation is excellent. All the kids that play do so for a reason and the only opinion of their value that counts is Underwood's. Personally, I am pretty happy there are so many choices that can contribute quality play and DFW does it most games. Look at what BBV did against Purdue...and many posters think he should transfer and open a scholarship. Not sure we could find a better contributor, at least a freshman...and BBV has an upside to his offense too which we may see next year.

Idk what is happening but the line just moved to +8.5 Maryland in favor of Illinois, which means we would have… 2 Kofis in CP?
I just took MD +7.5, so rest easy, should translate to a double digit W for the beloved

I also think we'll win rather easily. We now have even more weapons!

Regardless of which games we win/lose the rest of the way during the regular season, however, today's Purdue game was extremely uplifting! I'm encouraged about the future. And if you disagree, listen to Matt Painter's post-game. Tons of respect from a top-notch Big10 coach.

Also, Steve Lavin said later in the day on FOX that ours was a game of two potential Final Four teams.
Curbelo gives us a new weapon on offense. We put the defensive hammer down on Ayala and Scott. Should easily cover the 7.5 Vegas spread in a bounce-back effort following the Purdue loss at home.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Andre Curbelo was beaming internally during his return. The crowd erupted and he finally got back on the court Monday against Purdue after missing 11 games.
“I cried on the inside,” Curbelo said.
Illinois (13-4, 6-1 Big Ten) now has a full team for the first time all season with a healthy Curbelo, after playing well without him and jumping out to first place in the Big Ten.

“Coming into the year, so many great expectations for the team, personally, for other guys too,” Curbelo said. “I was just very excited for this year. I still am. I still believe things I said before the season. I think we’re that team. I know it for a fact.”That first step is finishing a season sweep of the Terps after a Jan. 6 win in Champaign that Underwood described as a “lifeless” performance when a big second half from Frazier and Cockburn gave the Illini a late win.

With the expectation of Kofi being out , I hope CoHawk is over his ailment and can benefit from Belo's passes in the paint............I was worried before the news of Kofi's absence but the Illini have been through this already this year and should play at a faster pace.....

Now that Kofi's absence has reached the main stream. Vegas has dropped the line from 8.5 to 7.0. It will probably go lower. This situation will be interesting to see the long term effects. Hopefully it proves to be a team rallying point going forward. Go Illini

I'm thinking of the last time we played Maryland. It was two games in one. The last ten minutes of the first half without Kofi(coughed up a 16 point lead and we're actually trailing at halftime), then the second half with Kofi, where order was restored.

The good news (being positive) is that Kofi has not been playing well as of very recent, so really only missing his presence. The negative is that the game is at Maryland and they ran us off the floor when he was on the bench...at home.

Why, of why, can't things just run smoothly? (sigh)
