If Kansas State had handled their business they would have been close to a quad 1 win as crazy at that sounds.

Something to keep an eye on: if Michigan gets it together they will almost certainly end up as a quad 1 win. They are currently 38.

If you’ve been watching the NET, one thing is readily apparent: our schedule was much tougher than originally thought given how the teams we have played have performed. ND appears to be getting it together, Marquette is now top 40 in NET, KSU has some decent wins, etc. We also have a lot of road/neutral games to date.

If Rutgers and Minnesota can keep their resumes respectable, our number of quad 1 and 2 wins will be rather high as of Selection Sunday.

Writers must have taken into account the absence of Kofi and not all players being totally healthy....beat MSU and NW this week and maybe we move back into that 15-20 range

And what a reputation it is! I feel like I see them every time I turn on the TV or browse the web.
I know, right? And that plays right into the lazy minds of those AP writers and the pressed-for-time coaches when the weekly vote arises. ADVERTISING's recruiting efforts are substantial, of course, but it's never clear what their yield is.

Yep, as much as I stress about not having a "great win" on our resume from a fan perspective (e.g., last year we had already beaten "top 10 Duke" in Cameron Indoor, regardless of how good they ended up being...), our resume is shaping up just fine - PROVIDED we win some of these big games like tomorrow's. If we lose to the Purdues in close games and beat the teams we should, we might end up criminally underseeded for how good we will be playing. Beating MSU tomorrow is a game changer.
