Against the #10 team in the country and #1 team in the B1G standings, playing down a NPOY candidate that averages a double double and a preseason point guard/All American candidate, and on a two game losing streak and with a spate of recent COVID and flu outbreaks on the team...
That is one helluva win. One helluva win.
Trent Frazier is one of our greatest PGs, period.

I was yelling at the TV to run some offense. I was confused because BU has always said that more actions is better because you increase the likelihood of a defensive breakdown. When you hold the ball for 15 seconds now you don't have to run as many actions and get a good look. Definitely seemed to hurt.
Think that has to do more with how drained the guards were. Tank was close to E

I feel like people think players transferring means they hate the program. He might have had a good relationship with Coach Underwood. He likely still has friends on the team. A lot can cause a transfer. Does not mean there's any bad blood and stuff like this makes me hopeful that there never is.
It’s not any different than keeping in touch with old bosses and coworkers after taking a new job. Regular stuff.

Frankly an extremely embarrassing loss for MSU. Illinois missing both Kofi and Curbelo and you still lose? So much foul help that Brandon Lieb had to play real minutes and they still couldn't close out. The defensive tenacity from literally every single player on the roster was outrageous.
Yep I thought they were going to drive to the basket nearly every time and win by 20, yet they didn't
Our great D had something to do with it, but still...

Plus you said that DFW and Trent were pretty banged up to start with. Real troopers, both of them
Everyone looked drained the final 10 minutes or so to me, wish the other two freshmen were more ready.

Goode has earned more PT in the near future though, IMO
3-4 from 3, excellent D for a freshman, and no silly mistakes as far as I could tell.

That was something good that would have come of this game if we had lost (no pun intended LOL).

Jabari Parker was at a game recently as well. No one seemed to know why. Not sure if it's some kind of PR effort, if it's because we're the best show in town, or if they just want to come watch us play and think about what could've been. But it's cool to see some Illinois hoops celebrities show up to our home games.
Would die to get Bill Murray back.

This is a great win against a quality opponent, needed.
However, we really need some kind of offense from Damonte and/or Coleman. A big (offensive) game by either puts this game away.

We can't have the 4 on 5 setups from losing teams past.

What I've noticed re: CoHawk on offense for a good while now is that when he does get the ball it seems like he's only looking to pass it as quickly as possible. It looks like hot potato, no threat to drive and very little to shoot.
Agree. He is in a funk between the ears. Need him to snap out of it. Just needs to see a couple go in and regain some confidence and swag. But you got to take them to make them and he just flat out won't right now

I was thinking the same thing. We heard that Trent was dealing some nagging injuries before the game. He played all but 2 minutes of the game and was bent over in pain earlier. He was the only one that was trusted to handle the ball so he was conserving energy. DaMonte was less than stellar when he handled the ball. Lost it without a shot 2 or 3 times. So not sure you want it in his hands.
