Just avoid the Phoenix area in general and you should be good.My severe disparagement of seasoned citizens is reserved for drivers in Sun City West... Otherwise, they're cool with me.

could be...but my point was that they usually play a slower deliberate type of offense using a lot of the shot clock that makes coming from behind for opponents more difficult....they usually are pretty good at not turning the ball over....and they usually shoot free throws as a team very well, so fouling in the last 2-3 minutes is usually not very productive in closing a deficient .....so being down 6-10 points near the end of the game is usually not good against the BadgersI'm 99% sure I've watched wisc mutilple times this year almost throw a game away they led by 15+. MD, NEB, and Houston stand out to me. Minny tied it pretty late. I believe all of those games came away from Kohl and I think the advantage the badgers get at home is well documented.
I see the line opens ill -6.5. I'd bet it closes closer to 4 but I also still don't see the overall appeal of wisc. At home I like us winning.
The other problem was, the older generation Section A folks would more often than not choose to stay home, and many choice seats went un-sat in. Looked terrible on television, for one thing.Back in the day (yes, my head is now quite old), we used to call the pricy-seat crowd “Blue Hairs.” But our criticism wasn’t their age; it was their habit of sitting on their hands and watching the game as if they were watching Schindler’s List. The stadium is a lot more raucous now with the new seating configuration.
And also the fact that their complaining was the impetus for the ushers starting to give the thumb to anyone who would move down into an unoccupied A-section seat at halftime - that did not endear those folks to us commoners, either.
I've never posted here, but read all the comments. Has anybody noticed we seem to lose every time Curbelo plays? If you exclude the beginning of season cupcakes, I think he's 1-4 this year. He may have great ability, but he makes a lot of unnecessary fancy passes and the team seems confused and tentative when he's out there. He also turns it over a lot with stupid plays and bad shots. He has no business shooting outside of 7 feet with the shooters he has around him. He's clearly trying to feed it inside, but our perimeter game shuts down. Trent, especially, shuts down when he's out there and, in my opinion, any hope of a title of any sort start and end with Trent Frazier.
We get blown out against Purdue without Curbelo.....we averaged 1.40 points per possession with Trent, Plummer and Curbelo out there that game. Stop with all this nonsense.I've never posted here, but read all the comments. Has anybody noticed we seem to lose every time Curbelo plays? I'm just a ''Head "" and have been for 55 years nowI'm an "old head" and fully endorse mild disparagement of my contemporaries and me.![]()
A commonly held dumb idea is still dumb. No, this is not the dumbest thing. There are 3 Facebook groups for the Illini and this point gets made there on a regular basis. Other people are noticing and voicing (typing in) the same observation.
And in the one game he was fully healthy (which probably was closer to 75%) this year he almost single handedly beat Purdue.I've never posted here, but read all the comments. I understand your frustration D43, but just look for Curbelo highlights and you will change your tune.I've never posted here, but read all the comments. Are we really gonna do this again? Good lord this is so tired. Are you going to say DMW is an offensive liability too?I've never posted here, but read all the comments. Why do we have to have these same arguments over and over again?
Pru, u en fuego this afternoon.

You picked an awfully cold take to break your post cherry on. No offense, man, but are you at all aware of what has been going on this season?I've never posted here, but read all the comments. Just missed the deadline for worst cause-and-effect inference, January 2022. Well in the running for February and the annual award, however.I've never posted here, but read all the comments. It is possible to impact open shots by how the shooter is guarded off the ball. It might even cause a guy to rush his open shot among other things.Kofi is the only player in the nation averaging more than 20 ppg and more than 10 rebounds per game.
No, since you asked, I don't think we guarded them especially well beyond the arc. Neither did the courtside announcers; they remarked several times how Spartan shooters were missing open looks from deep.
This^. + cause a guy who shouldn't be shooting to do so b/c the better shooters are draped and clock is running down (or he has poor impulse control.)It is possible to impact open shots by how the shooter is guarded off the ball. It might even cause a guy to rush his open shot among other things.
