Howard even said in the presser I'm gonna remember that time out. Plus grown men in post game handshakes grag the hand of the other coach and the forearm with the other while doing so. No what did Guard see the childish reaction coming. There needs to be some accountability Grow up coach Howard. I wouldn't want my son playing for that type of do called leader. No excuses for that crap.

It costs the State money to prosecute a case. Unless there's serious injury or loss of life, they have no motivation to pursue anything, regardless of what we'd like.

He acted like an !!!. It's going to be up to Michigan and the Big Ten if anything happens to him.

Haven't read all posts, but Mich has to let Howard go. His second incident with another coach in as many years. No one touched him, he was the instigator clearly on video. He was already on thin ice after the deal with Turgeon, no players are coming to play for a coach who is one strike away from being gone from the college game. Don't see any way he keeps his job, but if he does, Mich and the Big Ten have no excuse for what happens in the coming years and no leg to stand on to discipline anyone for anything.

Short of firing, has to be at least suspension for the remainder of the B10 and B10 tourney. Totally uncalled for by a guy who signed a $17 million contract to coach and represent a university. Unbelievably poor decision, my goodness.

Not apologizing was a mistake. He is supposed to be a leader of young men and to lose his cool like that is uncalled for. I would guess two to three game suspension at a minimum.
Do they really want this tool to be leading young men his example is horrendous as a leader and he should be immediately removed as the Michigan coach ALL THIS OVER A TAKEN TIMEOUT WITH THE BENCH PLAYERS IN

Gard didn’t grab him it looked like he put his hands on him to try and stop him to talk to him. Probably not the best idea but not warrant the ultimate reaction. Howard has a short fuse that needs to be fixed or have him fired Michigan should have a spine and either sit him for awhile or fire him. And by awhile means 4 games at least.

I’m surprised he’s being defended In any way for his actions. There was a lot of immaturity on both sides (pressing when the outcome is clear, the time out, the verbal discussion, elbow grabbing, shirt grabbing, finger pointing all in the handshake line) but his physical response is unacceptable. As a leader of young men, you don’t react that way. Add to this his previous issue with Maryland and the press conference response; I’m baffled why he should have a job.

Finley: Fire Juwan Howard as University of Michigan basketball coach

Juwan Howard should never coach another game for the Michigan Wolverines, Finley says.

I don't see it happening. Not if SCuM AD Warde Manuel has any so in the process. With four 4 star recruits coming next year, Rivals has Mich ranked 9th and 24/7 has them ranked 7th. If the bully is forced to leave the players may walk too.

The players may walk anyway. Their parents are likely not impressed.

Just want to point out that twice in the past week, we have had a game won and done it as classy as possible. At IU, we literally took a shot clock violation and handed them the ball. Against MSU, neither Curbelo nor Da'Monte were interested in a big last second dunk as an exclamation point. After both games, Underwood and co. were nothing but classy in the press conferences.

Super thankful for the staff and leadership we have at Illinois.

Michigan will indeed prove what kind of institution it is here. I'm sorry, but I cannot picture a universe in which Josh Whitman allows Brad Underwood to coach another game after throwing the first punch in the handshake line, inciting his players to do the same, not even one year after threatening to kill another coach in the Big Ten Tournament ... lol, this sounds even more insane as I type it!

Their problem ain't talent. Adding four more studs to an already loaded team isn't necessarily going to make them dominant. Added that they generally recruit pretty frickin well regardless of who is coach. They'd lose his son, but after that the other guys might stay.

So I agree with you but! Kofi gets 3 games for selling t-shirts and Scum ball only 4 for assault. It is a minimum of 10 games, and he really should be fired.

Have it on good authority Howard read a Wolverines fan message board that said Wisconsin assistant Joe Krabbenhof has - and I quote here - “a punchable face.” Will report back as further details emerge…

Howard needs to be fired for a second offense. He should be fired for this even if it were the first offense.

What did WI's substitutes do after the TO?

Caution, language. This is a great clip. Howard, as he admitted in his presser, tells Gard he’ll remember this, at which point Gard grabs his arm to stop him and give his rebuttal regarding Michigan pressing. But Howard immediately goes off with “Don’t f’ing touch me”.

Also, Brad Davison really enjoys singing and doesn’t want anyone or anything to take away singing time.

There's only two possibilities in my mind....Howard is asked to take full responsibility and resign immediately, or he is fired with cause tomorrow after all the lawyers finish their analysis and the admin figures out damage control.

If scUM doesn't take care of this tomorrow...the B1G has to suspend him for the remainder of this season. Anything less is garbage window washing.

And if I'm that UW assistant, I 100% file assault/battery charges against that scUMbag.
Doesn't matter what words were used. Say your words back and walk away.

Or at least walk down the street and meet up....

Hahaha, I was just about to comment on that. Is it just me, or is he like a caricature of an athlete from Not Another Teen Movie?

Wow. The league office needs to get him under control right now!
Get Howard under control?! Gard grabbed Howard's shirt with both hands, to stop him from walking by him. Many here are conveniently not seeing that. And the media is also ignoring it. I wonder why?
