Not a fan of Wade, but I wish the ncaa would have gone all in and investigated Duke and Coach K and made public all the shenanigans that went on there.
It also seems like he's maintained his friendships with his former Illini teammates. It could be he realized the grass isn't always greener. If that's the case, I'd be thrilled to have him back as long as BU thinks he could manage the situation.Maybe we’d take him back without chin because we’d have more control of the whole situation without promises to keep.
Also, maybe the problem was truly his family and he was really bought in to the Illini.
Only two perspectives I can see this early.
No, Auburn next please! Right before the NCAA tournament would be nice. Not that anything would that soon but the timing might be good.Kansas next?
If he left because someone (he or mom) was not happy with playing time, being the man.......whatever, with the guys we have coming in, and the freshman this year, I feel that we are an even deeper and more talented team than when he was here to begin with. Seems like the alleged reasons for leaving would be more of an issue next year than the year he left. I actually think scholarship availability would be the bigger barrier. Think we're already overcommitted for next year were everyone with eligibility to come back. But of course there will be transfers. Between Trent, DMW and Plummer, and any transfers or someone like Jake moving on, I think if there is space, there will be minutes available. If he left because someone (he or mom) was not happy with playing time, being the man.......whatever, with the guys we have coming in, and the freshman this year, I feel that we are an even deeper and more talented team than when he was here to begin with. I don’t think it will happen. But it’s been discussed. Him and Brad still talk weeklyWell, that's a surprise. After all that Underwood had put into Miller, I figured that door is closed. And, as long as Papi's here, Miller's not going to be the primary ball handler.
Even if it doesn’t happen, I think that is a cool testament to the character of Underwood and the respect AM has for him. Cool thing to hear as I certainly didn’t assume there was communication (especially on a weekly basis). We have a great HC and bunch of AC’s, everyone. Good time to be an Illini basketball fan.I don’t think it will happen. But it’s been discussed. Him and Brad still talk weekly
Exactly, that’s great to hear. That makes me like Brad more for that than any other reason.Even if it doesn’t happen, I think that is a cool testament to the character of Underwood and the respect AM has for him. The NCAA has no interest in policing LSU anymore than they do Duke. These organizations care as much of the sports or the athletes as McDonalds cares about their burgers. All they care about is selling the product which is a monopoly on licensing rights, and it’s only when those interests align does it appear that they have an interest in sportsmanship, fairness, athletes, education, etc.Not a fan of Wade, but I wish the ncaa would have gone all in and investigated Duke and Coach K and made public all the shenanigans that went on there.

McDonald's cares more about the property they lease out than the burgers for sure. Very apt analogy. The NCAA has no interest in policing LSU anymore than they do Duke. Nah. LSU's first mistake in all this was not being a blue blood. Everyone knows the blue bloods are immune to consequences, but LSU may not be.Kansas next?
Or it was a funny joke and he has a sense of humor.0440 liked this. I dont know if Ive ever been as intrigued by a like. Is there really something to this?
Clearly Alan Griffin is still tight with the program despite transferring out. It seems to me that there's a lot of evidence in the column for these people transferring out at least somewhat against their own wills.Even if it doesn’t happen, I think that is a cool testament to the character of Underwood and the respect AM has for him. That makes me think of Charlie Moore. He sure has seen a lot of the country. Including Kansas.Kansas needs to find a replacement for Jalen Coleman-Lands.
WHY? Both are so busy in their daily lives, one of them coaching and keeping in touch with recruits. The other one college classes with basketball practices and games. I don't understand how they could or why they would want to.I don’t think it will happen. But it’s been discussed. Him and Brad still talk weekly
I’m no expert, but is this considered tampering? Think about how we would feel if another P5 coach was having WEEKLY conversations with our players!I don’t think it will happen. But it’s been discussed. Him and Brad still talk weekly
Has this been verified to be true? Link?I’m no expert, but is this considered tampering? Think about how we would feel if another P5 coach was having WEEKLY conversations with our players!
I doubt if there is a link to tap into BU personal cell phone records.....Has this been verified to be true? Link?
Exactly. That was my point. Why would they want to talk weekly, and how could anyone know if it's true.I doubt if there is a link to tap into BU personal cell phone records.....
