Can I convey how much it sucked to watch that streamed on an airplane with about 30 minutes on either side of the game … really need a drink.
Yes, I watched the entire game and I thought it was painfully ugly. We won, but not a well-played game.Iowa was an ugly game? We beat one of the hottest teams in the country? Who just put up 121 on Northwestern?
Do we? We had many, many, MANY open looks and just flat missed them. Our offense today was generating plenty of open shots, so it isn't a poor offense. We just weren't making those shots. That's an incredible stat. Need to reorganize the offense in a big hurry.
I think what a lot of people forget is that the other team gets a say in the outcome, too. Not every game is going to look easy, but if you keep winning, you are probably a good team. No team in any year every has an entire season of "easy" games. Good teams fight through the "ugly" games more often than not and still win. That is (mostly) what we have done this year.Yes, I watched the entire game and I thought it was painfully ugly. We won, but not a well-played game.
If Russia nuke's the Eastern and Western coastal regions of the USA next week, and Mexico and Canada both invade our N/S flanks, the NCAA will make damn sure there is at least a sixteen game tourney...and the Illini will be playing as a four seed. Trent and DW will both be there.
We're going to be a very popular upset pick if we end up in the 5-12 game.Or 5... and a vulnerable 4 or 5 at that.
Just lol. I had to scroll through 24 of your posts all the way back to Jan 17th to find one that contained an iota of positivity, in the midst of Michigan despair.Brad likes to point out how the teams practices defense 2/3 of the time. Yeah it shows bc your offense is an utter train wreck when it matters most.
Rest up for the real tourney that matters. Let's make a run and f**king win the entire thing in April.
Don't care. We were a popular Final Four team as a 1 seed last year. We're going to be a very popular upset pick if we end up in the 5-12 game.
I don't think it's hating on anyone to state the obvious. Belo played well but if Belo, Hawk, or Omar were asked about today I feel like they would all say they need to finish those lay ups, dunks, and FTs. I didn't listen to BU after the game but I think he will say the same along with the fact missed far to many open looks we normally make. They did play hard just didn't work out. Trent did finish well today but others missed shots at the en they typically don't.I'm gonna say it. I HATE SOME OF THIS FANBASE. Curbelo did not play bad. He missed a layup, we got the look we wanted. Anyone who genuinely thinks that we could have gotten a better look is delusional. You want your best downhill guy going towards the basket in that situation, and that's what we got. Couldn't make it. Coleman's gotta get a grip defensively in the first half, and not lose himself in big situations at the end. Give me Grandison and we win, but hey, we're finally gonna be full strength in the tourney, at least!?!?!
