I sincerely hope our beloved Illini make a much better showing than all of these BT teams (lol at Iowa and IU btw)

I guess I should try and be aware of our foe's nickname. Apparently Chattanooga's mascot /nickname is the Mocs

sorta like an iowa hawkeye purdue boilermaker hybrid version that involves a train:confused: either way, I dig it and hope we beat them.

lol. Fabulous. Motivate away Jay!
(Sorry @hooraybeer; REPLY to your post doesn't work for some reason so I pasted it in here.]

[EDIT: For those who recall Fast Times at Ridgemont High, I have two words: Charles Jefferson. Jay Bilas is Spicoli driving Jefferson's Camaro with Jefferson's little brother riding shotgun.]

I hope we were watching and understand how important making free throws at the end of the game is Saint peters six for six in overtime Kentucky one for six
Every player understands how important it is...understanding it doesn't help if you're not very good at it.

The pink eye got to Frazier. Hope it gets better overnight. We win regardless in my mind, but that has to throw off his shooting and vision of the floor.

I don’t think that’s just pinkeye. Looks more like a trauma. Didn’t seem like himself in the press conference physically or mentally. Fingers crossed.

I don't see anyone on the Mocs team that can defend us. We should past the point of not being able to break a press. We faced some pressure sporadically after the first few games and seemed have moved past those struggles. There is no one on that team that can guard Payne, let alone Kofi. I'm confident we win this easily.

Should we play Houston on Sunday, they have a little more size on the perimeter, which makes me nervous, but again, there's no one to guard Kofi. They seem to play an uptempo style similar to Michigan State. Again, I don't see a huge issue there, and we should get by them without too many troubles.

That leads us to the second weekend. I hope and pray for a rematch with the Wildcats. The first time I ever traveled for a game was to San Antonio over 20 years ago. I was at the Bill Walton game. It was terrible. I want better referees than two decades ago, and unlike the game in 2021, I want Trent or Belo with the ball in the final minute. That 5 second call on Plummer did us in. Down 3 with under a minute...I wanted him to shoot it, not sit there with it!

I woke up hyped this morning, and against conventional wisdom, I'm looking past this weekend. Go Illini!!!!!!!!!!

Any of you in the know, do we need to be concerned with TF? If he just got pink eye, I hope they have some miracle drops for his eyes.

Pink eye is a pretty routine bacterial infection. With the right drops symptoms generally clear up in 24-48 hours, although you remain on the cycle for 7 days or so like most antibiotics. Not worried about pink eye.
