The fact the “pink eye” spread through the team as it did it was most likely caused by an adenoviral infection.
Brad sounded pretty congested and coughing in a recent press conference. Had his face mask up and down with coughing. That same presser had Trent and others with pink eye on the dais with Brad. Some were rubbing their eyes and Brad rubbed his eyes and, as he often does, wiped his nose and then touched stuff on the dais. As much as he has his hands around his nose, putting it politely, they might want to put some "sanitizer" wipes on the table for him to use.
Summary: keep everybody healthy and strong and Go Illini!!

My wife is a medical provider. She said she thinks he has periorbital cellulitis which is an additional 5-7 days recovery. Hope he's ready to go.

Reminds me of this exchange the from Apollo 13 movie:
