It’s all anecdotal but I feel like I’ve seen a ton of “in and out” type misses and layups that left me scratching my head wondering ‘how did that not go in’?Something is up with the ball. I'll die on that hill. The games have included so many offensive melt downs so far. Not just us.
They're playing so timid and under pressure like they know they shouldn't lose to Miami. There was like 4 mins left in the game and they're jacking up threes like there's a minute left.Miami up 10 on Auburn late!! 3 mins to go. Pearl’s team is not high IQ.
Exactly, rarely did either team get a soft bounce. Like it was overinflated. It’s all anecdotal but I feel like I’ve seen a ton of “in and out” type misses and layups that left me scratching my head wondering ‘how did that not go in’?
College basketball is dead to me now . . .I’m perfectly fine with the big ten losing. I don’t want those guys winning if we aren’t.
yep, extra bouncy. you can tell just from watching. It would be like all of a sudden shooting on a playground double rim. You know it's the same size and height as other rims, but they behave way differently.Exactly, rarely did either team get a soft bounce. Like it was overinflated.
They got 2 seed with Kessler and Smith...they lacked consistent guard play all season. Their tightness in Miami game looked hauntingly familiar to our game.Haven't watched many Auburn games this year, but they look very bad - not only because it is not their night and they are missing shots, but it seems they are very poorly coached. With 5 minutes left and single-digit below, they began to hustle and make very bad shots. Don't really understand how they made to a 2nd seed.
It's all matchups, expectations with news everywhere, tightness, injuries, fatigue ... and ofc The Ball. Most would agree the Big12 was slightly better than or possibly equal to the B1G, then 3rd was the SEC. I saw that Miami at Penn State game btw earlier in the year when they actually beat Penn State. Had to wait for the final game where Wisconsin won at Georgia Tech for us to win the B1G - ACC challenge.Would you say the SEC is overrated with UK Auburn Tenn all not making the sweet sixteen. Or is it there are a lot of good teams and few dominate teams because the teams are older thanks to Covid. A 10 seed shouldn’t win by 10+ points on a 2 seed. And by the way Miami lost to PSU earlier this year

Welcome to the 2022 tournament. My jaw dropped days ago. If this isn't a low point for the sport, it's going to be hard for me to stay interested in the future. Some rules are antiquated, and their enforcement is unpredictable at best, and utterly backwards way too often. The amount of contact allowed in this TCU-AZ game is something else.
Ball Cover
The composition of the outer layer, or ball cover, varies depending on the style of basketball and the intended playing surface. Quality basketballs that are destined for indoor play have a soft leather outer shell that offers superior grip. However, leather covers tend to wear very quickly on asphalt surfaces, so outdoor balls instead feature more durable rubber covers.
In baseball, the ball is standard. In soccer, the ball is standard. In football, the ball is standard (sometimes deflated in New England). In hockey, the puck is standard. In lacrosse, rhythm gymnastics, jai alai ... But NOT in division 1 college basketball, where every conference chooses it's own ball type.
And that's why we ended up with a wham-o superball.
YES, I'll die on that hill too.
